What are you wearing this spring?

Some things I am loving for spring….

These leopard slippers are super comfortable and easy to wear anywhere.  They fold up and fit into a tiny bag that can easily fit in your purse.  They are from a company called Red Foot Shoes.

I’m also LOVING my new bag I got in Paris.  It’s a LongChamp large tote.  I saw these everywhere on the streets and finally I had to ask what they were.  Katy (Terence’s cuz) told me and I went and got one 🙂  I am really liking it because it’s super light and doesn’t drag on my shoulder like my heavy leather purses.  It doesn’t have any compartments in it though.  That’s okay with me because I usually just dump everything in my purse anyway!

Make Me Over Aquage Review

Aquage has been all over the Internet lately and I’ve heard lots of people Twitter and blog about it.  It’s basically a foam/mousse that you spray on your hair and it’s supposed to amplify it.

I received it last week and I had very high expectations.  Honestly, I personally haven’t noticed that much of a difference, but it did give my hair a bit of a lift.

RESULTS:

I am missing my longer hair.  I like the short hair, it’s easier to dry and style.  I miss my pony tails though :/

Make Me Over Stuff I’m Loving…

I received this new product from Benefit Cosmetics a couple weeks ago and I’m LOVING it!  You just glide on cheek & brow bones…then sculpt with its soft glow blender for your perfect gleam. Can be applied solo or over existing makeup. It gives you instant cheek bones and sculpts you face.

It comes in a wand and one side is the solid makeup, the other is the foam applicator for blending.

Another thing I am loving is this powder for your hair called “Powderful” and it’s by Got2b.  I got mine at CVS and it was around $6.  It instantly thickens your hair and creates that “poof” on top.  It is also great at controlling those loose strands of hair and works like a hairspray.  You just sprinkle a little on your hair and BADA BING!  It’s awesome trust me!

He was up all night last night throwing up…poor baby.  It’s that stupid Happy Tot/Happy Baby food we gave him.  EVERY SINGLE TIME we feed it to Connor he throws up horribly 🙁 
Just a warning….I wouldn’t feed this to your child.  I have no idea, but it’s just this brand.

It only took 2 weeks to get our passports in so that was not bad at all!

Make Me Over Friday – SmashBox

One of my favorite things in my makeup bag are kits.  Kits or palettes make life so much easier because they have everything you need all wrapped up into a little box/bundle/bag.

You don’t have to figure out what eyeshadow, blush, or lipstick to wear because it’s all set out before you!  I recently tried the new SmashBox Studio Stash Fall 2011.  I love Smashbox products and always get compliments when I wear their makeup.

Team Jeans & A Brain Dump

Every now and then I have so many things in my head I want to share and thank goodness for my blog.  It’s become a dumping ground for thoughts and ideas.  I found a few things I wanted to share I thought were pretty cool….the other stuff is just about our life 🙂
So here we go!
Football season is just around the corner & I know lots of folks like to wear things with team logos on them.

I have a weakness for pretty purses.  I thought this purse was so stylish and different than any other purse I’ve seen.  The fabric is amazing!

TCU GRAD – Be Inthavon is an accessories designer and has a patented technique of hand-looming very thin strips of leather into silk. The process takes a full day to weave about an inch of Inthavong’s leather-silk hybrid. The resulting effect is quite beautiful. Inthavong’s played with various color combinations of leather and silk for a richly hued texture. And even matte leather gets a bit of shine from the natural sheen of the silk.

We have a train or “choo choo” that runs right behind our house.  I’m sure that is going to be great for re-sale value huh?  I hardly notice it anymore actually….but when the train passes Connor points and freaks out!  It’s too funny!

I mentioned before how we were going to start hiking as a family.  We tried on this pack last weekend.  Connor loved riding in it, but I’m just not sure how long we’ll be able to use it.  I know eventually he’ll start wanting to hike on his own.  I’m not sure if it’s worth the investment or not?  Anyone have one of these? Thoughts on it?

In & Out Burger finally opened its doors last week here in Fort Worth 🙂
I drove through for lunch on opening day.  I know I am CRAZY! Ha!
It was just like what I remembered and it was delicious!

Indira Salon – Makeover Giveaway!

As you all know I had a makeover yesterday….
Having a one year old I don’t always get time to myself anymore, let alone time to go get my hair done!  If I get a brush through my hair and some bronzer on in the mornings I am doing well. 
I was invited to get a makeover at Indira Salon and oh what an experience!  I walked in and was greeted by the beautiful staff, offered a beverage, and given an IPad to browse hairstyles on. 
I met Beth, the owner of Indira, she instantly put me at ease and made me feel so welcome.  Indira is an Aveda salon and all their products are natural and smell wonderful!
I then met my stylist Nina….who was AWESOME by the way!  This girl knows her stuff!  She was honest with me about what color and style I should go with and she didn’t rush through the service.  She spent a lot of time on my thick, curly head of hair….foil after foil 🙂 
We then headed over to the shampoo area where Nina conditioned my hair and I got a relaxing hand/arm massage.  When I first got there I was a chatty Patty….but I was SO incredibly relaxed I felt like I was in a spa!!!  LOL!!!  I could have fallen asleep in the chair I was that relaxed! 
Indira Salon also offers lash extensions, KeraGreen treatments, & feather extensions.  Indira treated me like a queen for a day and I’ll definitely be going back!  Thank you Indira ladies for such a wonderful day 🙂

Friday Style

I’ve seen a lot of bloggers posting about what they wear each day or each week and where they buy their deals.  I always like to read those posts and see how you put your own style together.  I am copying Summer today who posted about her style yesterday!  That is one thing I noticed when I met Summer is that she definitely had her own style and I loved it 🙂 

I also enjoyed her post today regarding POSTING & FOLLOWERS…..I like to blog for me and I want to keep it that way!  This is MY blog yo & I am not out to impress anyone!

I think my style is sort of boring….and I would love a $10,000 makeover from Clinton and Stacy….but I do the best I can 🙂

Yesterday my car wouldn’t start.  Don’t you just love those days?  I had the whole car loaded and ready to head to work and it was D.E.A.D.  Thank God Terence was working from home and I was able to take his car.  $400 later and it’s working today…..sigh…..my car is old and has a lot of miles on it, but it’s paid for and I do NOT want a car payment.  I will keep replacing parts until that baby is not repairable because I love my car.  I hope ya’ll have a great weekend!!! xoxo Becky
