School’s out for SUMMER!!! Woohoo!!! All the teachers shout for joy and the parents pull themselves up by their bootstraps. I’m really excited for summer break and I know Connor is too. He’s going to summer camp and I’m sure it will be a lot of fun! BUT…one thing I do worry about is if he’ll retain everything he learned over the past year in the next few months. He had such a good year in second grade and I can see by his work how he grew leaps and bounds.
Kitchen Remodel & Stuff
Soooo….We’ve been without a kitchen for a couple of months now and are super ready for it to be FINISHED! I am so tired of eating out and I’m not one who loves to cook, but I do miss having the option to cook. I was just getting to be BFF with my Instapot too….bummer! We are having the back cabinets re-built right now and the rest will stay the same. It was too costly to change out all the cabinets, so we are just re-working them into our new design. We will be changing the countertops, backsplash, sink, and faucet. It seems like it will really brighten up the space too. To give you an idea of what we are going for here is the wall color:

It’s almost MOTHER’S DAY!!! It’s going to be a very busy month for us. It’s not only Mother’s Day, but Terence’s birthday, my birthday, and we are traveling to Europe in a few weeks too! Aaaaaand we still don’t have a kitchen, but it’s progressing and decisions are happening. I hope you love on your Mama and make her feel special this Mother’s Day. God bless my Mom for putting up with me. Lol! Now that I’m older and look back on life I’m EXTRA thankful for her because being a Mom is hard. I love Connor more than life, but this week in particular has been rough…and Mama said there’d be days like this right?
