Good Friday

We all need to remember what this weekend is really about. This weekend is the celebration of our Lord and Savior’s resurrection!!! Yes, we do get to eat good yummy food and lots of candy, but that is not what Easter is about. Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for us and saving our sins.

I will be going to Nannie and Papa’s for Easter. I know there will be good cooking and family time. I just don’t get to see them as much as I’d like. Terence won’t be able to celebrate Easter with us again this year….which kinda makes me upset because I’d like him to be with some sort of family, but homework it is I suppose…..

That is another reason I can’t wait for him to finish school….so he can have a life again. Maybe after he finishes I can go back once we get settled somewhere. Of course I’ll have to work while going to school, so I guess it will be a slow process, but the point is you’ve accomplished something. I don’t have a major or anything yet, how do you know what you want to do for the rest of your life? That is a tough question. I tend to try and rush my life away, when I need to focus on the little things more.

I was reading a story online the other day about an old man who finished writing a book in his 90’s. Good for him. He said it helped him with the grief over losing his wife of many years. He said “At my age you don’t have a future to look forward to, everything that was or is important to you was in the past.” So that is what he wrote about, his past. I can’t imagine not having anything to look forward to in life, everything you’ve lived was behind you. It just makes me think about life, and the fact that I am still young, and do have time to choose the things I want to do. I don’t want to waste those choices. God gave us life, Jesus saved our lives, now we must live our lives to the best of our abilities.

Hope everyone has a blessed Easter!!!

XOXO Becky 🙂

tax season….grrrrr…..

4:30 a.m. – Get up at go to gym
Elliptical – 4.5 miles (burned 500 cal.)

I’m so tired….but glad I got up and got the gym over with today! I even went on Saturday, but mostly out of boredom and I had nothing to do because Terence was working. Yesterday we went to Conway to watch Mom and Dad in their Easter musical at church. It was really good! I’m so proud of my mom and dad!

Later in the afternoon we cleaned out our storage unit and got out tons of stuff to sell at the neighborhood garage sale. Mom & Dad have one every year. We’re definately going to need the extra moolah! Terence has summer semester coming up, we may (possibly) owe money this year on taxes, and we just paid $260 in taxes on the car! We’ll catch up eventually! Terence did our taxes online to just “see” what we may owe/get back, and it said we would owe money this year!!! And that just doesn’t make sense to me because I worked two jobs last year so we could make ends meet and Terence is a full time student???? Government+taxes=EVIL! I guess we’ll truck it down to HR Block to see if they can get us a better rate. Hope everyone’s weekends were good!

Birthday time

Mom and Dad celebrated their birthdays tonight, Mom’s birthday was really today and Dad’s was last Wednesday. I’ll leave out the age part 🙂 We had a great time at Olive Garden and got to see Aunt K,Ungle G, & Lindsey! Did pretty good, didn’t order any fettucinni (sp?) Got a chicken dish instead, it was okay. The last pic is of the lovely alfredo dipping sauce I only had ONE dip in…it was hard so hard!!! I better start heading to bed so I can get up early and face the gym. Happy Birthday Mom and Dad!!!! I love you!!!!!!

Beauty pageant

Mom, Bonnie and I all went to visit Nannie and Papa yesterday. Saturday we drove to Mountain Home to see Lindsey in her very first beauty pageant!!! She did so well and she looked so beautiful!!! Bonnie and I also got to be judges in the Little Miss Sweetheart pageant! It was so much fun and we had a great visit with all the family. Great job Lindsey!
(Notice how Nannie’s cat sits….it’s like an actual person sitting up! Had to take the picture)
