Missing Home

Maybe it’s the hormones, but I really miss home lately….
I miss my Nannie who loves me no matter what…she is who I aspire to be like someday
I miss my sister, my best friend…why oh why do you have to live so FAR!

I miss my precious Mom and Dad…they are everything to me

I miss Papa, Grandma Bonnie, and so many others, because of them I have so
many GREAT memories to reflect on.
LOVE YOU ALL & MISSING YOU

October Weekend

This weekend has been pretty chill. We have been going around looking at MORE lighting stores and some other places involving the house. Today’s weather has been AWESOME, it’s finally feeling like fall! Yesterday we went to see our new nephew, Benjamin, in the hospital. He was 10 pounds 2 oz he’s a little chunky monkey. Here are some pics of him below…

Terence holding him crying-better get used to that right?
He liked me better obviously!

Some house updates…

We have grass and landscaping

The shower was in

Countertop in bathroom

This is one of the extra bedrooms, I can’t decide if I want this to be the nursery or not because of the huge window??? Does it need to be really dark in the room?

This is the other bedroom with just one small window, will this be better?

Appliances and backsplash are in too!

Kitchen floor
Back to work tomorrow….wahhhhh!!!!!
I’m off to enjoy the rest of my day while it lasts!

When life gives you lemons….

Well…we had to unexpectedly by a new car this week. Terence’s old car was a serious LEMON if there ever was one! We just paid a LOT of money to get a new transmission a few months ago and then on Tuesday the radiator went out, which was going to cost another $2K and not to mention the air conditioner problems and it flooded whenever it rained! We were not budgeting to get a new car, but sometimes I guess you just gotta do what you gotta do and hopefully this car will be more reliable. I’ve never had any problems with Toyota so I think it will be a good commuter car for him since we are about to switch roles and he will be driving the 100 mile drive a day now after the move. It’s a 2009 Toyota Corolla and only had about 30,000 miles on it and so far I think Terence really likes it and it makes me feel better he has a more reliable vehicle.
It seems like money is just poring out right now, but I guess we have a lot going on and lots of changes, but the one thing I’ve always known is God will always take care of us!

Progress

We went back to the house today to pick out carpet for the bedrooms. We also went to a few baby stores and a lighting store. Here is what we have picked out so far….

Breakfast area light fixture (Pottery Barn)

Three of these pendants for the breakfast bar (Pottery Barn)
We bought this end table today because we needed a
small table for the living room (Pottery Barn)

We also bought this light fixture for the entry way foyer of the house.
It goes indoors, we both really like the rustic look and the rubbed bronze finishes.

Granite was installed today-here is the sink!

Backsplash

Tile has been layed, just needs grout

At the baby store there was a lot of cute stuff, but I saw this bedding for baby Jarrett! Bonnie is doing her nursery in monkeys and I thought this was too cute!

Advice

Is it too early to start taking bump pictures? I’m going on 18 weeks and right now I just think I look fat rather than pregnant so that is why I am reluctant to post anything! LOL! It just makes me want to buy one of these….

Another thing I wanted to ask ya’ll….
WHERE CAN I FIND A CUTE CHEAP 9×12 RUG???

Busy Busy!

Well, we got the house! Woohoo! I’m so excited because for the past 8 years of our marriage we’ve only lived in base housing, 1 bdrm apts, or in-laws houses!

So it’s so nice to finally have a place to call HOME. We met the builder today and picked out tile, flooring, and granite. We should have a move in date of the beginning of November…just in time for Christmas to put up a tree 🙂
