My Favorite Camera Accessory #ModStraps

I wanted to share with you all today one of my FAVORITE camera accessories of all time. It’s called the mod. strap. It’s the most comfortable & stylish camera strap I’ve ever owned. I have already owned a mod. strap for about a year and it still looks brand new. The quality is impeccable. The front of the strap is a cute design, and the inside is a fuzzy, super soft material. Mod. straps just introduced a new sequined line of camera straps and I’m in love! Of course you know I’m a lover of all things bling bling.

They See Me Rollin….. #Toyota #Highlander

The lovely folks at Dallas Toyota let me choose a car at test drive it for a week. This gorgeous, fully loaded Toyota Highlander was delivered right to my doorstep with a full tank of gas. I was ready to ride! First of all, let me just say I loved how roomy it was, the leather seats, the steering was one of my favorite features. I hate driving a car with jerky steering, and this car held its own and was smooth at butter on the road. The Highlander had very little road noise on the freeway and handled SO well! I didn’t want to give it back!!!! Waaaaaahhhhh!!!! I had a Toyota Avalon for 11 years and I cannot tell you how much I loved that car. It was so good to me and I never had a single problem with it. Toyota is a brand I trust and believe in because I’ve been driving Toyota’s since I got my first car back in 1999. They never disappoint!

So let me point out some of the amazing features of the Highlander: Look at all the room All the buttons to control your radio, air conditioning, and dashboard are on the steering wheel Several different radio options as well as navigation. Perfect for someone like me with no sense of direction! LOVE that it has 4 cup holders in the front. It also has all the USB ports and everything to hook up all your mobile/media devices. TONS of room in the back for groceries or whatever you haul with you everyday. Moms carry a lot of stuff in the car. It’s almost like a second home away from home. Waaaah!!!! Mama don’t make me give up this ride! I love it!

Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow #BenefitCosmetics Foundation (New Favorite)

I recently bought a new foundation to try it out. It’s called Benefit “Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow”

It is supposed to be light, airy, and give you a brighter appearance without looking too caked on.

It is extremely light, I will say that. It’s very liquid-y. If you pump it too hard you’ll end up using too much because it comes out so fast (so be careful!) I was happy with the coverage & the fact it has SPF 25. It felt light and it did brighten up my skin. You can still see all my freckles, but I also don’t want to look like I have a caked on finished. Benefit Hello Flawless did give me that glowing effect. Overall, I’m pretty happy with it! Now, I just need to find a concealer I am happy with 😉 Any suggestions?

King of the Grill #kidsgrill #LittleTikes

Connor wants to be just like his Daddy. Terence grills a lot during the summer months and Connor loves watching him cook outside. He wants to be involved in everything we do. We recently got a Little Tikes Backyard kids grill set for Connor to play with. Now he can be just like his Daddy! He loves grilling and he’s already made us a hot dog at least 10 times a day this week! The grill also makes sounds and has lighting to give it the effect of real grilling. He is having so much fun with this new toy.

I put this together, which says a lot. I’m not handy at all, but I had this kids grill ready to play with in about 8-10 minutes.

The other day I stopped by my fave Seattle’s Best Coffee and picked up a new bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich. It was delish!

These little red gems are popping up all over Texas and I couldn’t be more excited about it.

I got a birthday cake latte. It’s topped with sprinkles and is SOOOOO good!

Crafting with Markers

I may have said in my last post I had a bit of an obsession with pens/markers/pencils….

This is true. I love a good marker. I recently got to try out the new Infinity Permanent Markers. They come the a great range of colors so you will be all set to get your crafts going!

One of the first things I like to do when I try out a new marker is write in all different colors, fonts, and speeds to check out how it flows and see if I like it. I don’t have the best handwriting, but you get the picture. It was fun playing around. I must say they did write really smooth and the colors were great!

This marker has a great pointed tip for just the right control.

Well, since I had all these fun markers to play around with I thought I would make something fun for Connor. We are in the car a lot and of course he always wants a snack. I decided to make him a snack bin for his goldfish. I let him pick out the container and then he helped me figure out what he wanted on it 🙂

So this is what we came up with! It’s a cute little container with his name and perfect for his goldfish snacks. He loves it and he thinks it’s so cool that his Mommy made it for him. The markers went on super smooth and I had this project done in no time. I didn’t have to go over and over it. I just colored on the clear plastic once and that’s all it took.

Celebrate the 4th of July with #SeattlesBestCoffee

Happy 4th of July Y’all!

I have a great giveaway in store for you! If you’ve been reading for awhile you have heard me talk about my love for Seattle’s Best coffee. It’s SO good! I drink a lot of coffee….so I should know right? I wanted to share some fun coffee tips and a recipe for you to enjoy this 4th of July….and while you’re at it go ahead and enter to win this fab prize pack full of Seattle’s Best goodies.

Okay, so first I’m going to show you this great product called a Melitta coffee brewer. It allows you to make a single cup of coffee with this clever brewing cone. All you need is a filter and you’re ready to go.

Cool huh? It’s quick and easy and tastes just as good as brewing in a machine. Just add hot water.
It’s been crazy hot here in Texas. During the summer time I always drink my coffee iced. It’s pretty much the only way I roll in the Texas summers. I was feeling festive so I wanted to create an icy drink perfect for the 4th of July. I brewed my Seattle’s Best Coffee as shown above, poured in a couple tablespoons of hazelnut syrup, and then I dyed my milk red before I mixed it with my coffee 🙂 Topped it with whipped cream and sprinkles….it was so YUM!
