euphoria Calvin Klein: A Radiant Gift For Mother’s Day #MC

“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for euphoria Calvin Klein. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”

Mother’s Day is this weekend.  We all know how much Mom’s do for us and want to make them feel extra special on Mother’s day.  Growing up I didn’t always appreciate my Mom like I do now…but I’m so blessed to have her as my Mom.

My Mom did so much for us.  She gave birth to twins (I can’t imagine), cleaned our bottoms, fed us, took us shopping for clothes as teens (the horror!), and so much more I’d have to write a book on everything my Mom has done for us.

Every year I always try to get my Mom flowers or a corsage.  Anything to make her feel special on Mother’s day & remind her how much I love her.   My hope is every time she looks at it she feels special 🙂

This year Macy’s has a great deal for Mother’s day.  If you purchase a euphoria Calvin Klein perfume, you will also receive a beautiful potted Orchid.D7K_8236

You can purchase this deal online or in the store.  Your gift will be added automatically at checkout with any qualifying euphoria Calvin Klein  item. Available while supplies last.  A list of Macy’s stores can be found HERE.D7K_8239
The Orchid is so beautiful!  It arrived at my doorstep in perfect condition and I’ve been enjoying it ever since.  The perfume is a polished scent with notes of pomegranate, persimmon, lotus blossom, and mahogany.  I’ve really enjoyed wearing it.  My husband likes it too!

Sometimes as a Mom you don’t always feel “put together”, but spraying on a beautiful scent can automatically make you feel good and change your mood.  For some reason when I spray my favorite perfume on in the morning I feel like I’m ready to face the day.

The euphoria Calvin Klein perfume is perfectly paired with the Orchid for a special Mother’s day gift.  As a mom I can tell you that I would love to get this on Mother’s day 🙂

Hurry!  This deal ends on May 12.D7K_8246
Connor took this picture of me.  He always calls me “his princess”.  He’s such a sweet boy 🙂  I love being his Mommy and I’m even more excited because we are going to visit MY mommy next week in Arkansas.  I haven’t seen my Mom since Christmas, so it’s going to be an extra special time.  I can’t wait to tell her how much I love her and how thankful I am for everything she’s ever done for me.  D7K_8251

We hope you all have a blessed Mother’s day and don’t forget to tell your Mom how much you love her!

BBB-BBB-BATMAN!

Like….seriously this child won’t wear anything but this shirt.  When we go out in public he tells every stranger “hey look at my Batman shirt!”  It’s becoming an issue.  He is refusing to take it off.  Should I hide it?  Should I run to Target & buy 5 more because God forbid he ever gets a hole in this one or a stain???

That’s going to be one tantrum I don’t want to be around for….D7K_7776 D7K_7780 D7K_7781 D7K_7784

Batman boy has also been experiencing serious bed wetting issues lately.  I’m so tired of washing sheets and picking up his clothes at school in a plastic baggy.  Any pointers out there from Mom’s who have had bed wetters?D7K_7705

I got my Birchbox in for April.  I liked it.  I remember when I first joined like 3 years ago you’d get full sized samples of makeup.  The silver eyeliner is cool-literally.  I have problems with eyeliner pens you have to sharpen they always break off immediately and my sharpener just eats them up.  Maybe it’s the user?  Maybe the sharpener?  I dunno…I’ve tried several different kinds and they all eat my eye pencils!  Loved the nail polish and the night cream.  Wrinkles BE GONE!

So… how’s your week going?

Finish This Link Up & Other Random Brain Dumpings…

On Saturday morning, I usually:  Wake up later, like around 8:30-9 am.  Sometimes Connor will even sleep past 10 am.  Yeah…that’s why I don’t want another baby right now.  I like my sleep WAY too much!  Get coffee. Do laundry. Clean house.  You know all that fun stuff!  Spend the day with my family doing whatever else we need to get done 🙂

I feel beautiful when: My husband says I do.  When he notices that I’ve put extra effort in and his opinion is the only one that matters.

I wake up every morning:  In a fog.  It’s rush rush rush!  Shower, get ready, get Connor ready, eat breakfast, and get on the road…..I feel like it’s all a big BLUR!  Some days I wish I could stay at home.  Drink my coffee slowly.  Catch up on so many things I need to do (in my head).  Start doing a devotional and read God’s word more….but it’s so hard when your life is consumed by 6:30AM-6:30PM work/school then come home and cook dinner and have an hour or so before bedtime.  It’s a big whirlwind & sometimes I wish the days had more hours in them.

A Happy Home Is: Is when Mom is happy 🙂  Ha ha!  Just kidding!  I’m a neat freak and I’m happier when my house is clean and organized.  Right now it’s a mess because of the prospect of moving….so I’m kind of freaking out a bit!

When I have down time, I: Watch TV on my DVR.  Play Candy Crush (I know I know…UH!)  I’m usually cleaning or organizing something that I don’t have time to do on the weekends.  I also LOVE to take photos.  I love pictures….it’s my favorite.

HAPPY WEEKEND!!!

A Splash of Fun with MilkSplash + Target Gift Card Giveaway!

This is a sponsored review written by me on behalf of MilkSplash. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

D7K_5971

I love having fun with food.  After school Connor usually has a snack before dinner.  I want him to have something that’s good for him, but something that I know he’s going to enjoy as well.  We tried some samples of a new product called MilkSplash the other day and OMG soooooooooo good!  I’ve always been a fan of flavored milk and Connor loves milk too.  It’s an excellent source of protein and calcium for kiddos.

We tried the strawberry and banana flavors after school yesterday.  MilkSplash comes in convenient squirt bottles that are so easy to use & Connor did it all by himself!  The milk flavor was great and didn’t taste like “fake fruit” like some products we’ve tried in the past.  It’s a very refreshing way to add flavor to your milk.

Let me tell you a little more about MilkSplash:

MilkSplash is an innovative new milk flavoring that is perfect for busy parents who want their kids to drink more milk. Although this product contains artificial sweeteners, it has zero calories and it allows kids to enjoy milk on their own terms. MilkSplash is also working on an all natural version but for now MilkSplash will be on shelves in a Target near you March 24th and at Walmart in mid-April.

MilkSplash also comes in a chocolate flavor called “Cocoa Loco” and if you read this blog you KNOW I’m going to try that one out 🙂D7K_5946

Each bottle of MilkSplash makes 24 servings.  That’s a lot!  This would be a great item to take on trips and easy to store because it takes up little space.  I was also thinking MilkSplash would be AMAZING in milkshakes….can you imagine?  That’s another recipe I’m going to try this summer.

D7K_5948

I did it all by myself & it was SO good!

Cryotherapy Experience

Last Friday I got to try out Cryotherapy for the first time.  I was a tiny bit scared to go into the freezing cold chamber.  But I watched a Dr. Oz video and started reading about the benefits so I thought I would give it a try.  A new clinic just opened next to where I work and they let us come try the machine.  I have to say I LOVED IT.  Yes it was freezing cold, but afterwards I immediately felt invigorated and I was so energized for the rest of the day & night.  You are in the chamber for 2-3 minutes and then you’re done.  So, would you all try this method out???

IMG_20140314_123727
Here is what Wikipedia had to say about Cryotherapy:

The chamber is cooled, typically with liquid nitrogen, usually to a temperature of −120 °C (−184 °F).  The patient is protected from acute frostbite with socks, gloves and mouth and ear protection, but in addition to that, wears nothing. The patient spends a few minutes in the chamber. During treatment the average skin temperature drops to 12 °C (54 °F), while the coldest skin temperature can be 5 °C (41 °F). The core body temperature remains unchanged during the treatment, however it may drop slightly afterwards. Therapy triggers the release of endorphins which induce analgesia (immediate pain relief).

Patients report that the experience is invigorating and improves a variety of conditions such as psychological stress, insomnia, rheumatism, muscle and joint pain, fibromyalgia, itching, and psoriasis.  The immediate effect of skin cooling and analgesia lasts for 5 minutes, but the release of endorphins can have a lasting effect, where the pains and signs of inflammation as found in blood tests remain suppressed for weeks.

I would definitely go back and do it again if it weren’t so expensive.  Typical treatments range from $50-$75 per treatment.

Finding the Perfect Valentine #MC #OkayToCry

I participated in a Blogger Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting #MC for Cardstore.com. I received complimentary cards and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Valentine’s Day is only a couple of weeks away.  It’s one of my favorite holidays because it’s the first official holiday Terence and I celebrated as a couple while dating.  I’ll remember that night forever.  Terence got me a few roses and a card along with some Godiva chocolate.  It was the sweetest gesture.  I love words of affirmation and I try to save all of our cards and love letters from over the years.  Looking back on them brings up so many memories in my mind.  One of the most heartfelt ways to tell those close to you that you love them is through a card.  Sometimes it’s easier to write how you feel than it is to say it.  What better way to express your love for someone than with a personalized card from Cardstore?

Each Valentine’s Day, Cardstore aims to give a gift or card with such sentimental value that is has the power to move our loved ones to tears. Have you ever brought your significant other to tears with a loving card?
This year, Cardstore reminds us that ‘It’s Okay To Cry’ and embrace the emotions and sentiment from our loved ones.Cardstore_Infographic

I’d love to share some of the cards I’ve made on Cardstore’s website.  The quality is above and beyond and the prices are AMAZING.  They just can’t be beat.  I’ve looked….

Here are the Valentine’s I made for Connor’s classroom this year:

And a Valentine for my sweetie with a picture of the two of us:D7K_4411

I was thrilled how they all turned out.  Cardstore also sent extra envelopes just in case 🙂  I’ve been an avid Cardstore fan since I found out they existed and I’ll continue to buy all my special cards from them.  They are so great to work with and I could go on and on…..but I won’t!  So check out Cardstore TODAY so you can get your loves some special Valentine’s cards- Hurry you must order before Feb. 6 to get it by Valentine’s day!
