Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar’s Spring/Summer Sneak Peek #ldtable

A few weeks ago my family and I had dinner at the AMAZING Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar.  I’ve talked about this restaurant before and we LOVE it so much.  Everything I’ve ever had at Lazy Dog has been above and beyond delicious.

I wanted to share with you all some of our favorites and they also have a yummy spring/summer menu that you’ll have to go check out too.  Also, don’t forget to bring your fur babies- they are welcome on the patio!  You can also have your picture taken to go inside on the Lazy Dog Hall of Fame Wall!

We started out with the Queso Dip- Jack, cheddar, queso blanco, pickled jalapenos, pimentos, cilantro black beans, hand-cut tortilla chips.  This is not your ordinary cheese dip, it’s so much better and made with real cheese.

We also ordered these corn wheels- they have a sauce made with lime, garlic, queso blanco, tajín, & cilantro.  These are also a MUST try item on my list if you visit!

I had the watermelon margarita and it was super refreshing.  Terence tried the peach moonshine.  They also have a great happy hour menu Mon-Friday 3pm-6pm.  There is also a brunch menu for Sundays and a special menu for your “lazy dog”.

This is the second time I’ve had the Grizzly Fries and I’m sure it won’t be the last. They are Potato wedges with housemade secret sauce, crispy bacon, fried sweety drop peppers, smoked paprika.

Terence had a steak and he said it was one of the best he’s had.  He looks like a happy camper right?  Our server was the sweetest too, they have the friendliest staff.

I ordered the Strawberry field salad with heirloom tomatoes.

I also got a bowl of the corn chowder and it’s probably my favorite soup I’ve ever had.  The flavor is sooooooooo good!

Terence and I got desserts to go because we could barely walk to the car afterwards.  Literally…we were stuffed!  I tried the banana pudding and Terence ordered their famous butter cake.

We had the nicest family dinner we’ve had in a long time and I’m so excited that Lazy Dog is close to where we live so we can enjoy it often!

Go check out the Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar’s new spring/summer menu…I promise you won’t be disappointed!  Lazy Dog is designed like a lodge with cozy fireplaces, ledge stone and a chandelier crafted from Aspen logs. The dog-friendly patio offers a dog menu, featuring grilled meats and brown rice.  Everything from the food to the atmosphere leaves me wanting to come back ASAP!  Thank you Lazy Dog in Euless, TX for hosting us and we will for sure be back during the “Dog Days of Summer” 🙂

This giveaway is a partnership with Nakturnal.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hey Y’all!  I hope you’re having a great week!  I can’t believe school is almost over….that’s crazy!  This year has flown by.  I’m trying to decide what we are going to do this summer and have been looking at programs to put Connor in to keep him busy during the season.

I’m sure we’ll spend lots of time outdoors in the pool and play videogames…but then I know Connor will get bored and want something else to do.  I’ve been reading about a new place called Snapology where your child can learn about science, technology, engineering, art, math and literacy concepts.  That’s this blogger’s choice for my kiddo!

Connor has always loved playing with Legos and Minecraft.  At Snapology he can be a part of his favorite activities while sharing ideas with others.  As an only child he craves that social interaction.

So, what can you do at Snapology?

This would be a great place for a birthday party or a Scout event.  We are always looking for places to go for both!

If you are looking for something fun for your kiddo check it out!  You can also follow Snapology on Facebook Twitter for the latest.

Getting Ready to Party with Balloon Time! #SpringInFullBalloon

This post is sponsored by BSM Media and Balloon Time.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Well, school is almost out and these kiddos are ready for summer and we are ready to celebrate!  Most of you know that I am a photographer and I find myself using balloons a TON as photo props.  I will also say that it’s a hassle to get balloons blown up on short notice…because the last time I went to get some there was over an HOUR wait at the party store!

Ain’t nobody got time for that….

Aren’t these boys cute?  I can’t believe they’ll be in second grade this fall.

I decided to get my own helium tank from Balloon Time because we have a lot of parties coming up this summer.  We have my Grandma’s 80th birthday bash and my sister’s baby shower this summer!  So I know that my Balloon Time helium kit will come in handy.  You can pick one up at your local Target and Walmart stores.

Balloon Time is the first and best-selling portable helium kit in the world! They’ve been bringing color, life and fun to celebrations around the globe for more than 30 years with their DIY floating balloon kits.

I found my Balloon Time helium kit in the party section at Target.

There is also a $2.00 off coupon you can download HERE.

The Balloon Time helium kit comes with:

1- Standard Helium Tank

30 Latex Balloons

Ribbon

Life goes by way too fast not to have a little fun!  I can’t wait to have our parties this summer and get some fun balloons to jazz up the space.  I’m also excited that I don’t have to wait in long lines anymore…so next time I want a balloon for a photo prop I’ve got it covered.

Follow Balloon Time on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Mind Dump With Becky

If you know me, then you know that I am probably one of the most random people ever.  I want to get back to the basics and why I started blogging and that was to journal my life.  Even if I post the most basic blah blah blah stuff….I still feel like that resonates better than a crap load of sponsored posts.

ANYWAY!  So I am going to try to do a “Mind Dump” post at least once a week so I can talk about my real life.

  • The bluebonnets here in Texas are insane right now.  They are more purple looking to me…but gorgeous.  I want to run through this field like Maria from “The Sound of Music” and twirl around 🙂

  • There are 3 types of videos that draw me into a straight up trance while watching.  Whether it’s Instagram or Facebook:
  1.  Icing cookies/baking videos
  2. Making slime videos
  3. Calligraphy or handlettering

I cannot look away y’all…I could sit for hours watching these things!

  • Target shoppers anywhere?

The struggle is real.  I don’t really do this anymore, but isn’t it so easy to drop things into your cart and when you get to the checkout you about croak at the total?  I leave the store thinking “What did I buy?”  As my husband likes to tell me “Becky you are death by $10.00!”  And he’s so right because I don’t really buy anything expensive, but I do buy a lot of crap! LOL!

  • Coffee Anyone?

I posted about this coffee on my Instagram and got a lot of questions.  It’s by a company called Dripjoy.  Not only are the pods ridiculously cute, it tastes delicious too!  I’m constantly ordering K-cups from random places and Dripjoy makes it easier because it’s great coffee, delivered monthly and priced right!  You get to choose what flavor coffee you want, how much, and when you want it delivered to your doorstep= WINNING!

Peace y’all and happy FRI-YAY!!!  Don’t forget to check out my Snapchat: @thejavamama & Instagram for weeklies 🙂

Don’t be a fool this April 1st – Come to SPIN! Neopolitan Pizza in Southlake, TX!

When my sister was in town last week we visited SPIN! Pizza and had a blast!  We love to eat out and obviously the boys love Pizza.

Everything at SPIN! Pizza is baked in ONE place- the wood fire pizza oven.  The dough is hand-spun and topped with fresh ingredients.  It was delicious.  Feast your eyes below…

We enjoyed an appetizer of flatbread served with 3 dips- Lemon Ricotta, Red Pepper, and White Bean Hummus.

The guys loved this stuffed meatball.

Bonnie and I enjoyed the salads too!  They were light and fresh on a hot day 🙂

Then the PIZZA came!!!  Delicious wood fired pizza straight from the oven!

Here is my BBQ Chicken Pizza.

Bonnie ordered the Primavera Pizza.  All of the pizzas were delish!

SPIN! Pizza also has a great happy hour every day from 3-6pm.  Tuesday nights they have $2 craft pints as well.

Here is my brother in law Vinny (who is a total foodie) enjoying his giant meat ball.

The guys in the kitchen preparing pizza dough.  I would totally drop that…it probably takes practice right? Lol!

My sweet nephew Jarrett who loves anything with cheese.

So many different drink options….

Let’s not forget about dessert shall we?  SPIN! Gelato is made with All Natural Ingredients and comes in so many flavors.

I tried the pumpkin and it was DIVINE!!!

The boys eating their gelato outside on the patio.  Perfect for happy hours after work this summer or messy kiddos.

My HAPPY HOUR beverage of choice is the Sangria.  I probably could have drank a pitcher of this…it was that good!  So light and refreshing!

My hubby, Connor, me, Jarrett, Bonnie, and Vinny.  I miss them all so much already!

It’s moments like these that make memories and we are so thankful to SPIN! Pizza for hosting us and serving us the most delicious food.  I’m even more thankful it’s only 10 minutes from my house! Ha ha!!!
