Why it’s Better to Adopt a Pet!

Happy Friday Y’all!

Most of you know we just adopted a dog this summer named Hemi.  He’s a four year old French Bull Dog.  I post lots of videos on Insta-stories and he’s been a great addition to our family.  Especially after losing the baby, he’s been a bright little guy in our lives and Connor just adores him.  He sleeps next to Connor every night and they are best buds.  I am so glad we were able to give him a loving new home and let me just tell you adopting a pet is SO much easier than getting a puppy!  We’ve been there done that!

We knew we wanted a smaller dog and Hemi fits it perfectly.  I love Pitbulls too (the perfect size!) and you can adopt those and all kinds of other pets by going here.

Adopt right here in the DFW area.  You can even look at photos of all the animals within a certain distance from where you live. Pit Bulls, or any dog, can truly brighten your life…or anyone’s life!  Taking them on walks or cuddling on the couch watching Netflix, they are the perfect companion!

Look how CUUUUTE!

Full of life, love, and loyalty, the Pit Bull is the perfect breed to add to your family. As a high-energy and enthusiastic breed, there is no better place for a Pit Bull than Dallas.  Taking your pupkin to the NorthBark Dog Park, or dining at Lazy Dog, there are so many fun activities to do!

I got Hemi a “Pupkin spice latte”  Check out all my other “Dog Life” posts on Instagram HERE!

I purchased Hemi’s “Pupkin Spice Latte” from Bark Shop HERE.

Also, you know how fun it is to dress up your fur babies for Halloween???  I’m not going to tell you what Connor is going as yet, but let me just say that our dog is part of his costume 🙂

Life is better with some pup love.  Check out all the best ways to save a beloved Pitbull, or any pet, by keeping them out of the shelter system. Re-homing a dog or cat is a better kind of pet adoption, in every way!

  1. Hemi is super cute! Glad he found his forever home with you guys. My dog Fluffy was the first puppy I raised. She has loads of energy and I’m very laid back so I had to adjust fast to be on her level. It taught me a lot about myself and what I’m capable of. I’m thinking of adding a third member to the pack next year and might look into adopting a doggie. Hope you guys have a safe and uhmm spooky Halloween! 🙂
