Friday Fives

A couple of weekends ago I had the pleasure of attending an event in Dallas courtesy of Dr. Smith’s Diaper Rash Ointment. If you are a Mama of a baby in diapers you MUST get this stuff! It’s magic I tell ya! Not only is it an awesome brand the people behind it are so incredibly nice. I also got to reunite with some of my favorite Texas bloggers and they brought in a celebrity guest, Ali Landry, who was SO nice too!drsmithsdallasHere is a little montage of my booger wooger at the pumpkin patch the last FOUR YEARS!  How is this even possible?  I am itching for another bambino, but the hubs isn’t with me yet….but man I miss that little baby….each phase is special all in its own 🙂PicMonkey Collage1Selfies of me and the boogie 🙂 D7K_5464 D7K_5465SO ready for holiday bevs.  Like no joke….I need an eggnog latte stat. tumblr_mdk9l62PoW1ri2wpoo1_1280Speaking of seasonal drinks….Connor boy and I got our pumpkin spice at Seattle’s Best coffee.  It also has pumpkin flavored whip on it.  Delish!IMG_20131006_125212Does someone want to come help me get this monkey out of bed every morning?  You think the day will NEVER come when your kids sleep in and that YOU will be the one dragging them out of bed.  It does come and it’s a pain.  I love my sleep too…but this kid is a bear to get outta bed. IMG_20131010_075542I’m loving these Pop-Out Ornament Christmas cards from MPix.com.  They are so cute and you can just pop them out of your Christmas cards and hang them on the tree.  Brilliant.   UntitledDon’t forget to link up for Friday linkies at Lauren and Darci’s blogs 🙂

Family Fun in the Kitchen #Sharewhatsgood #MC

“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Welch’s. I received product samples to facilitate my review, and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”

D7K_5449As a full-time working Mom it’s hard to make time for those special moments throughout the day.  When my husband and I get home after a long day of work sitting down at the dinner table is a special time for us to be together.  We join hands and say our prayer.  Then we will talk about our day…what was good and what was bad.  It’s a way for us to connect and spend quality time together.  Even if it’s just for 30 minutes, it’s time we’ve set aside to give each other undivided attention.

Welch’s has been helping families enjoy family moments for generations. In the time it takes to drink a glass of juice or share a sandwich, a special moment can happen. That’s why Welch’s just launched a new movement called “Share what’s good™” It’s all about sharing those special moments that occur each day with family, friends and loved ones – whether it’s at home or on the go. At Sharewhatsgood.com you’ll find a variety of great content from fun family ideas to delicious recipes. You can share photos of your every-day moments and see how others are doing the same.

One of my kid’s favorite meals in peanut butter and jelly.  What 3-year-old doesn’t love PB & J?

Walmart Fa La La La Family Mobile

I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client.

Christmas is right around the corner and staying in touch with my family who lives entirely out of state is super important to me.  Most of my family members only communicate via text or email.  This form of communication reflects this day and age we are living in.  I love my family, but sometimes the only way to get to them is through a TEXT!

I also don’t want to spend tons of money texting back and forth so I recently signed up for the Walmart Family Mobile Plan.  This cheap cell phone plan is going to save me tons of money.  Thanks to #FamilyMobileSaves I’ll have extra money to spend buying Christmas gifts and doing all sorts of other things I’d rather do during my most favorite time of the year!We have a family plan with another provider right now and are paying out the wazoo on it every month.  My husband was going over the features of the Walmart Family Mobile plan and was just flabbergasted at how much we were overpaying.

I have the T-Mobile Concord, this phone is priced great and you get all the jingle bells and whistles with the Walmart Family Mobile plan. There are a couple plans you can choose from.  The first plan is listed for $29.88 and includes unlimited talk and text.  The second is listed for $39.88 and includes unlimited talk, text, and web. I bought my phone on sale for around $80 bucks.  You can’t beat that right?

My new phone:

Signing up with Walmart Family Mobile was incredibly easy.  All I did was visit my local Walmart and headed to the electronics department.  I found the phone I wanted along with a $25 starter kit.  The starter kit included all I needed to activate my phone, including the sim card.  I also bought the 2 year replacement plan for $4.99.  I went home, followed the instructions online, and I got my new phone number.  No hassling and haggling with a sales rep and I’m saving a load of money.  No contracts and phone shopping in peace.  Amen.

Check out my Walmart Family Mobile Walmart shopping experience in my Google+ Album

I’ll be getting ready for the Christmas season soon!   Only 11 Saturdays left to shop before Christmas!!!  I’ll check back with all of you after using my new phone for a while and let you know how it’s going.  One thing I’m not afraid of is my phone bill!   Check out the Walmart Family Mobile Plan by visiting their Online Account Management and Information Services.

In the mean time start getting excited for the holidays and get your communication going with your family and friends.  I know I personally like being asked what I want and it’s not a new pair of socks!  Let me just leave you with the wise saying “Communication is Key” my friends……So excited for the holidays and family!

Some Little Reminders + Holiday Pictures

I’ve done this for the past couple of years. If you live locally in DFW & are looking for some fall/Christmas photos shoot me an email over at beckylbranch@gmail.com and we’ll set something up! I just LOVE taking photos and watching these families grow 🙂image2993 Also I’ve extended this date a little bit…but today is the last day to sign up for the coffee mug swap! Sign up HERE! I will post the partners tomorrow.image2993
Have a fab day! xo Becky

Our Day at the Texas State Fair

I’ve never been to the Texas State Fair and this year was my first time to go!  Yay!  Thank you for sending our family Chevrolet #Silveradostrong kindly provided us with tickets.  It was perfect fair weather too!  We ate ourselves silly.  I didn’t have anything too crazy.  My favorite was the frozen lemonade.  Also, I found a booth that served pineapple whip. It’s AMAZING!  They have a place back home that sells pineapple whip.  Anyway, here is our day of fun, family, and lots of food!

The Wisest Kid on the Block

D7K_5114When I was a kid one of my favorite things was Campbell’s chicken & stars.  Something about the magical little stars that made me think it was something special.  Mom would make this if my sister and I got sick and it always made us feel better.  It’s funny how kids choose food and how that taste can stay with them throughout their life.  Just remembering that soup brings up all sorts of memories in my head.  Getting your kid to try something you enjoyed is a little bit harder.  Often times if Connor just tries something he will come to find he actually likes it!  It’s getting that first bite in that’s so hard.  Kids’ tastes in food are one of life’s great mysteries. One day Connor will LOVE something and ask for it over and over, the next he’ll say he can’t stand it.  What gives?

Picky eaters have finally met their match! With the help of The Wisest Kid in the Whole WorldCampbell’s soup is offering delicious recipes your kids won’t be able to refuse.  Campbell’s gives you a fresh way to serve your family kid friendly, fun recipes at www.campbellskitchen.com.

D7K_5103

At the WisestKid.com you’ll find fun, quick meal ideas your kids will love.  You can see all of the soup varieties featuring kids’ favorite characters like Super Mario and Phineas & Ferb, as well as topping and sandwich ideas for Tomato soup.  Every can of Campbell’s Chicken Noodle soup has 32 feet of noodles just waiting to be slurped, that is crazy!  I use Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom to make one of our family favorites chicken spaghetti.  It’s my sneaky little way of adding some veggies in there 😉

Here’s the recipe:

Chicken Spaghetti

1 lb spaghetti noodles
1 rotisserie chicken (pull chicken off the bone)
1 can Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup
1 can Campbell’s Cream of Chicken soup
1 can Rotel
2 lb Monterrey jack cheese

Mix soups, Rotel,  and 1/2 the cheese together in a large bowl.  Drain noodles, combine with ingredients in the bowl. Pour into greased 13 x 9 in casserole dish, sprinkle other 1/2 cheese over the top.

Bake @ 350 degrees for around 30 mins.

We all love sharing things about our kids—from pictures to funny things they do.  Through the Wisest Kid widget you can tell everyone the “wise” things your kids says.  It’s super easy and fun and you can share it with your family and friends.
