I’m saving shirts for that very reason. I love those quilts!
My mom made me a tshirt quilt with all of my old soccer shirts. I loved it when she made it, but after she died, almost two years ago now, it’s gotten even more special to me. But I do love this idea! And think to make it happen even quicker, I’d use other important t-shirts (maybe holiday ones?) that way you’ll have enough for a quilt sooner, and can even move onto collecting for a second.
