Test Shoot

 Most of you probably think I am crazy…but the minute Christmas is over I start thinking about Connor’s birthday.  It’s something else for me to put my creative energy towards.  I think this year I’m not going to have anything to do with the birthday party.  He keeps requesting a Cars birthday.  He looooooves Cars!  He’ll probably be our only kid.  Bless his heart.  But thank God every day for this life and that God gave him to us!  I can’t believe how fast time flies!

Fever

We are taking this kiddo to the Doctor in the morning….I had to leave work and go get him because he wasn’t feeling good.  Tonight he’s still running one heck of a fever.
 
Having a sick kid is the worst.  Waaaaaahhh.
 
We prayed with him tonight that God would help him feel better.  He also wanted 2 hugs and 2 kisses.  Love you snuggle bug!

Biggest Loser Blogger Challenge

Okay Everyone!
Are you ready to start the Biggest Loser Blogger Challenge?
(Remember it’s about FEELING good, not just looking good!)
My goal in doing this is to have a support group for all of us.  I know losing weight is really hard.  Every year after the holidays we all put on a few extra pounds.  And every year I vow to take it off and this is going to be my year to make it happen!
I’ve struggled with it my entire life.  A lot is genetic, some is not.  I have a major sweet tooth….ahem…that’s going to be the hardest thing for me to kick.  This week I’m trying to avoid all sweets.  If your thing is cokes, then try cutting out cokes slowly.  If you have a program that works for you like Weight Watchers or a workout video then go for it!
I don’t want everyone to follow a specific program or diet.  Not all diets work for the same people, plus I want to read about what all of you are doing as well!  If you have recipes to share or workout tips, this would be the time to do it.  I hope we all can be each other’s cheerleader and support group.
I’m really looking forward to following your journey.  I hope I don’t fail you.  I want to keep you accountable and you to keep ME accountable.
THE PLAN:
  • Every Monday starting January 7th-March 25th come back here and link up your post for the Biggest Loser Challenge.
  • If you want to post pictures or specifics about your body/weight you can.  If you don’t feel comfortable doing that then just put *starting #* and after that you can put (- pounds from starting weight)
  • I’m going to post a motivation picture.  We all have that ONE picture that we look back on and are like “dang I remember those days”.  This coming Monday I’ll post my motivation picture and you can too if you would like.
  • Share your plan, goals, and recipes.
  • Read other participates blogs, comment, support, be real, honest, and show love.
  • On the last day of the contest I’ll announce a winner!!! (Working on a finale prize- details to come soon!  I hope it’s something super fabulous)
The goal here is to give you a jump start and motivate you to start a good healthy habit.

We Won!

I don’t know if I shared this on the blog yet….
But back in October I entered Connor in a Halloween costume contest on Pottery Barn Kids Facebook page.  And…..WE WON!!!!!  We won a $500 Pottery Barn Kids gift card.  Huuuuuge blessing!  I was at work when I saw the email notification and started screaming!
We’ve been delaying switching Connor to a big boy bed because of the expense, this was such a blessing at the perfect timing.  God is so good and always provides.
So….we went on a little shopping spree and here is Connor boy’s new bed and bedding!  We had to pay a little bit out of pocket, but for the most part a lot of it was paid for. 
It looks great and Connor loves his new bed and we hope it will grow with him for many years to come!
