Christmas Morning

Well…I’ve finally gotten around to updating the blog about Christmas day!  Connor and I flew back home the night of the 23rd, I worked part of the next day, and it was go go go since then.  We put all the Christmas decorations away tonight and the house just seems so empty.

We woke up early Christmas morning and when Connor finally woke he got excited to look under the tree!

Is this an excited face to you???

He loves itty bitty cars….anything he can fit into his teeny hands

Terence making our morning lattes 🙂

 Checking out all the presents!

Connor likes that cartoon Jake & the Never land Pirates.  He got a pirate ship and some other toys.  He also got a Leap Pad.  He calls it his IPad…

We also got a big boy bed and new bedding for his bedroom….pics to come soon!

 His first nativity set

We then headed over to Terence’s parents house for Christmas brunch.  Sherry makes the most delicious Christmas brunch.  I look forward to it every year!

 Then…..it started SNOWING!!!!

The kids were really excited!  We left shortly after it started snowing.  We had quite a bit of snow for Texas standards.  We usually don’t get any.

Only my kid would be too dainty to step in the snow.  He wasn’t having any of it….he didn’t want to walk in it so he remained on the sidewalk???  Goofy kid.  We love you and hope you had a Merry Christmas 2012!!!

Merry Christmas

&

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas on the Farm 2012

Christmas 2012 was so much fun.  Connor and I flew to Arkansas last week to be with my family for an early Christmas.  Daddy couldn’t go with us because of work…but that was okay because we got back to spend Christmas day with him 🙂

Flying on an airplane with a 2 year old…yeah….not so fun.  People are pretty nice about it….but then you have the guy next to you giving the stare down.  My kid was the one that hit the attendant button 3 times, turned the lights on and off, kept pulling the window shade up and down, refused to buckle, wanted to crawl under the seats…..thank the Lord it was only an hour long flight!  Whew!

My Mom met us at the airport and Connor ran to her and it was the sweetest thing!

I got to go out to dinner with some of my best friends from high school one night.  It also seems like we just missed a big winter storm that hit Arkansas this week.  We would probably be stranded there if we came this week.  Prayers to all of you with power out and hoping the conditions get better soon.

Every year we go to my Nannie & Papa’s house for Christmas.  It’s the one place we’ve always had to call home-even when Dad was in the military.  Bonnie and I would get so excited when we drove on the dirt road to the house.  We knew we were almost there!  It’s the most peaceful place out in the middle of the country with gorgeous mountain views.  No sounds, cars, or street lights….just peace.

Every year we get to have Christmas at the farm is an extra special blessing.  That was really felt today as we found out my Nannie has cancer.  She had a biopsy in Little Rock to remove a lump she found.  It turned out to be follicular lymphoma.  My Nannie is the most loving, kind hearted, Godly woman you will ever find.  There is none like her.  Please keep her in your prayers.  She’s our beacon of light in the family.

So without further ado here are some pictures of our Christmas

Hope you all are having a blessed Christmas week…it’s been super busy coming back to work after being off for a few days.  More updates to come soon!

Cuz in the Tub

We had a fabulous Christmas!  And it SNOWED!!!! Ahhh….how perfect can it get.  After such a hot year in Texas it was so special.  I have a ton of Christmas pics and I’ll do a full post soon….in the meantime look at these two cousins in the tub!  These pictures crack me up!  Connor and Jarrett just adore each other.

Sweet boys are growing so fast!

Visit Home….

Connor and I have had a blast the last few days vising Nana, Poppy, Nannie Sue, Aunt Bonnie and Jarrett in AR.  We fly home tonight….and as much as I miss my Ter-Bear at home I am going to miss my family when we leave.  It’s so bittersweet.  Just trying to enjoy everything and make special memories!

I’ll share more on our trip home soon!

xoxo Becky

The Java Mama’s Favorite Things + {Super Fab Maybook Giveaway!}

I know you all have heard of Maybooks right?  Well, if you haven’t then you MUST hear about them now!  I got a Maybook a few months ago and since then I have been telling ALL my friends about them.  They are so bright and stylish.  Maybooks are also very light and easy to take with you anywhere.
In my busy life I have to keep a planner and schedule of everything or I tend to forget.  Maybooks has a weekly agenda feature that I use a lot to schedule blog posts and daily activies.  I like how you can keep that seperate from your monthly calendar as well.  It’s less clutter.

Here is a glimpse at the monthly calendar view:

Connor Elf would like to give one away to a Java Mama reader today!!!

Woohoo!
