A New Friend

Yesterday I met up with the beautiful Angie. We met through blogging awhile ago and both discovered we didn’t live too far from each other so we decided to finally meet up! We met at the mall and ate lunch, had some chocolate, and Hayden explored all the trash cans πŸ™‚

I had so much fun and can’t wait to get together soon for an ADULT dinner!!! Our anniversaries are close together so hopefully we can plan something soon! Thanks Angie for a great time – XOXO Becky

I just wanted to talk about TWO things that really have helped me since having Connor. If you are breastfeeding or pumping then use PLAIN VASELINE! That was the best tip someone gave me because that lanolin lotion does NOT lubricate and this works so much better!

I also LOVE the NoseFrida Snot Sucker. I know what you are thinking…snot sucker? It is amazing and so much better than those bulb snot suckers. There is absolutely NO way you will get a booger in your mouth I promise! You suck at one end and it gets all those boogies out instantly!

And over at Kelly’s blog it’s “Show me your Life” activities for kids
We don’t do many activities yet because Connor is still a little bitty boy but we do tickle him a lot and read to him. He loves having a blankie in his hands and sucking on anything he can get his hands on!
He may have been just a little tired last night…..

And here’s my lunch today we ordered in because it’s our last time to all be together, we are closing this location and moving to another one at work…

I made cake balls to bring to work today πŸ™‚

I really need to quit my crack…ahem I mean Starbucks habit…it’s naughty!

Why We Believe

Have you ever woken up and thought “Didn’t I just go to sleep?” Lately it seems like each day flies by and I don’t remember what I did the day before. Everything just runs together into one thick stream of LIFE.

Terence and I have both felt convicted to study the Bible more because we know there will be a day when Connor will ask us “Mommy & Daddy why do you believe what you do?” We just started attending a new church and really like it there! I admit I have not always been the best at studying and reading the Bible like I should. We are trying to change that though….and I want to be a better person and Mommy for him……
Terence’s Dad gave him this book called “Systematic Theology“. Honestly, I would have never opened it unless Terence told me about it and we started reading it together. It explains a lot of those questions about “WHY” things are the way they are in the Bible. We just started this book, and so far it’s been a great learning tool. I don’t want to feel guilty because I am not leading the kind of lifestyle I should be….I want to be an example…not just any kind, but a Godly example.

My time with this little guy is not a whole lot πŸ™ By the time I pick him up after work and get things done for the next day it seems like we’ve only shared a few hours in the evenings. I wish I could stay at home, but on the other hand I do cherish the moments we have a lot more now.

I can tell he’s going to have lots of questions….just like his Daddy!

He’s my sweet angel and I thank God every day for this little life He has in trusted in my arms

Right now I am droooooooling all over the place! I am loving my toesies and Daddy says I am going to be like Linus on Snoopy because I have to have a blankie in my hands.

I’ve been such a good boy lately and I usually sleep from 9:30 – 7:00 in the morning now!
I still am only eating Mommy’s milk & drink about 7-8 4 oz. bottles a day. I wear size 2 diaper & will see how much this little guy weighs in a couple weeks at his 4 month checkup. He’s growing like a weed!

Sometimes I go visit my great grandma who lives down the street from Granna now πŸ™‚

Father’s Day 2010

We had a great Father’s Day this year. Connor let us sleep in until 8:00 am on Saturday πŸ™‚ He’s been such a good boy lately and hardly fussing at all! *knock on wood* Terence is such a good Daddy and we are so lucky to have him!

We didn’t really do anything on Saturday except for run around and get some grocery shopping done. Sunday we went to church and then headed to Costco to get 4 new tires for T’s car. I hate car maintenance….it’s SO expensive! We had a nice dinner Sunday night with Terence’s family and then headed home to start the week again! It’s seems like the time is just flying by!

Connor has been very VOCAL lately squealing and making all sorts of noises. It just cracks me up. He does it even in his sleep!

I’ve been watching some summer shows too, including the Next Food Network Star (that Dzintra girl is koo koo!) and HGTV Design Star. I put “The Gates” on my DVR, but haven’t watched it yet! I REALLY want to go see Eclipse this weekend…if only I could find a babysitter for Connor πŸ˜›

I JUST WANT TO SAY I AM SOOOO BEHIND ON READING EVERYONE’S BLOGS LATELY AND IT’S NOT BECAUSE I DON’T LOVE YOU ANYMORE….DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL SCATTER BRAINED AFTER THEY HAVE A BABY??????
