I have a few more photos from Christmas to share.  When Connor and I got back from Arkansas we celebrated with Terence’s family Texas style.  Christmas morning Connor let us sleep in until 8:30, Terence and I woke up in shock because we thought something was wrong…but he was snug as a bug in his bed! BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT FROM CONNOR!  Thanks for letting Mommy & Daddy sleep!

Our little family of three this Christmas 🙂

Eating all of Mom’s good cooking.  I love the brunch she cooks every year on Christmas morning it is definitely something I look forward to every year!  She makes egg souffle, strawberry bread, muffins, and curried fruit…delish!

Christmas eve celebration over at Great Granddaddy & Nell’s
Moms, Dads, kids, sisters, brothers, grandpas, grandmas, aunts, uncles, cousins…oh my!
My very preggers sister in law Kim.  She is due in early January with a girl 🙂
You may notice C’s nose is all messed up because he fell off the bed AGAIN!  And just for the record I was not home.  Poor little guy has looked awful this past week…and I am sure we look like great parents too!
Note to self: He is VERY mobile now!

And what would Christmas day be without Starbucks???

Connor boy has been playing with all his new toys and running himself ragged…he’s definitely growing before our eyes.  He has been such a blessing this year.  Thank you Jesus for this baby!!!

I also wanted to show ya’ll my RING…my sidder Bon Bon gave it to me for Christmas and I love it!
It’s an owl…yes it is…la dee da…hoo..hoo….

Jimmy Dean Better Breakfast, Better You & $100 Giveaway!!!

This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Jimmy Dean, however the opinions and feelings expressed here are my own.

A great way kick start a healthy life style is by getting enough protein each day. I recently had the opportunity to try Jimmy Dean D-Lights  for breakfast.  I had the turkey sausage bowl and it was D-elicious! I love eggs, cheese, and turkey…..and when mixed together it makes for a very tasty breakfast!

I am a wife, mom, and I work a full time job so I don’t always have time to cook a good breakfast in the morning. The Jimmy Dean D-Lights Turkey Sausage Breakfast bowl was a great option for me because it is quick, easy, and tasty all in one!

With only 230 calories and 23 grams of protein, I’d say this is a great way to kick start my new year goal!

Our family has been trying to make healthier choices lately by exercising and eating right. Let’s face it, it’s easy to get comfortable and let yourself go. When I exercise and eat right I feel better about myself and I have more energy to get things done during the day. I want to live longer and stay healthier to watch my son grow up.

In 2011 I want to try and be a better me….for myself, for my husband, and for my son. During my pregnancy last year I gained 65 pounds and it has not been easy trying to get the weight off. It’s something I’ve been struggling with for almost ten months now.  Incorporating protein in my daily diet has definitely helped me try and reach my goal.

My body had been through a lot of changes this year and I still have a ways to go….so tell me……

Christmas 2010 Part 2

We had such a fabulous time in Arkansas that I couldn’t fit it all into one post!  The weather was definitely cooler than Texas and Las Vegas…which we liked because who wants to celebrate Christmas while sporting pit stains?  Not ME!
Bon and I love visiting our Nannie and Papa’s farm in Mountain View.  They have a cattle farm in the Ozarks and it’s also where my Mom grew up.  It’s so beautiful there and the sunset is breathtaking.  I always feel at peace and at home when visiting.  I could stay there forever and let Nannie take care of me and make Mickey Mouse pancakes every day…and chocolate gravy of course!
Amongst all the Paula Deen style fried cooking that would make you “spank yo Momma!”  we also celebrated Jarrett’s first birthday, visited downtown Mountain View for pizza from Tommy’s (extra cheese please), and visited an embroidery shop that is super cute and CHEAP!  I cannot find anywhere in Texas that does embroidery like this store and it’s SO cheap!  I can’t wait to go back next time we visit and I’m going to start stockpiling on things I want monogrammed.
So here’s a little recap….
The town where they still play fiddles and clog dance
 Lots of WalMart’n & Sonic 🙂
Starbucks with Jen Jen (who now graces the Starbucks wall) and Connor’s first teeny tiny TCU hat from the embroidery shop
Jarrett’s first birthday and visiting Papa’s grave for Christmas
We had to get a pic of the boys in the tub 🙂
Isn’t it just beautiful here…..I want to go back already….
Life is slowly returning to normal again, but I have not taken down the tree yet.  I think I’ll wait until after New Years and try to cling onto whatever Christmas moments are left….why do I always get so depressed after Christmas is over???  It’s all this hype building up to one day and before you know it it’s gone!

This year has been an incredible blessing.  I have been so blessed by family and friends…and blogging and meeting all of you!  I don’t get so homesick because I feel like I have so many friends…even if it’s on the computer you all are so special to me 🙂

Christmas 2010 Part One

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!  Connor has been sick the past couple of days and he’s teething so it’s been fun 🙁  We had a great time in Arkansas with Nana and Poppy, Bonnie, Jason, Jarrett, Nannie, A. Karli, U. Gary, Lindsey, and many friends.  It makes me so homesick when I go home and I always hate coming back.  Driving to the airport and boarding that plane is the worst I tell ya!
I have so many pictures to share that it’s probably going to take a few days for me to post them all.  We had so much fun, memories were made, and love was felt all around!
 BFF’s forever!!!
Playing with cousin Jarrett, Nana, and Poppy

 Cookie Monsters

Opening LOTS of presents….I had to borrow and extra suitcase from Mom and Dad to get all our stuff home!

So many memories….
I’d say the boys first Christmas was a great one and such a blessing!
Merry Christmas everyone!

Isaiah 9:6

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas Eve Everyone!
We made it back home to Texas yesterday and we had a wonderful time in Arkansas with family.  The time went by so fast and I have about a million bazillion bajillion photos to sort through…..
The airport was pretty crazy, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be and Connor was great on the plane!  It’s amazing how helpful strangers are when you have a baby.  I sat next to the nicest lady on the way there and I had a lot of help on the way back too.  I think they could all tell I was frazzled and took pity on me 🙂  All is well and I am glad to be home to my honey, I missed my Ter-Bear and I think he missed us too!
Love you all!
Becky

Leaving on a Jet Plane

We have had a blast in Arkansas!
We have to come home tomorrow and will miss Nana, Poppy, and Aunt Bonnie,Jarrett, and Jason 🙁
The nice lady sitting next to us took a picture of Connor’s first airplane ride, I don’t know what I would have done without her help at the airport!  She was so sweet!

Nana so excited to see us!
WE WILL MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
I have lots of pictures and I hope you all are having a great time getting ready for Christmas!

Ornament Exchange

I participate in an ornament exchange with Karen and Shannon this year.  It was a lot of fun and I love getting mail especially when there is a surprise 🙂  My partner was Laura and I think she chose such a cute ornament!

It’s a “B” for Becky or for Branches 🙂
It has green polka dots on it too!  I was in such a hustle taking pictures I forgot to take one of it on the tree, but it looks great and thank you so much Laura I love my ornament!
Okay-now Connor boy and I are headed to the airport to catch a plane!  Ya’ll have a great week!
