Buffalo burn out!

I just got back from my night of being a buffalo! It was not too bad besides the stifling hot costume and the tunnel vision. Besides that it was okay….I’m just glad to be home now so I can go take a shower! ha! I am thankful that the Lord always provides for us in little ways so we can make extra money….especially during the much needed holiday season!
The pictures aren’t that great. They were taken with a polaroid camera, but you get the idea.

I’m cheap!

Okay, I’ve been seriously needing to get my roots done, but I don’t want to pay $100 or more to do it! Tonight Terence and I did some Christmas shopping and then I wanted to go into Ulta to look at hair dye to see what they had. OMG! This stuff is awesome. You get the dye, a pre-treatment, and hair mask. It doesn’t stink like normal at home hair dyes either!!! And the color was great! It’s still a little more expensive than most at home hair dyes, but it was worth it 🙂
HERE are some more color options

My mother-in-law hosted a baby shower today. I made cake balls again! This time I used the pink wilton candy melts and they worked really well. Michael’s craft store has a MUCH better selection than Hobby Lobby and they have several different colors.

Every year Terence’s aunts put on a celebrity cutting event here in Fort Worth. It’s actually pretty cool. I didn’t know what cutting was until we went last year and those horses are amazing! Afterwards there is a concert and dinner with an auction. All the money raised goes to charity for cancer victims. GOOD TIMES!

This is Betty Buckley, her most recent role was the crazy lady in M. Night Shyamalan’s movie The Happening

more cutting…
If any of you ever get the chance to go to a cutting event you should go! I didn’t think I would really enjoy it because I’m not into rodeos, but this is actually really entertaining to watch!

First Christmas party of the season

Last night we had our Christmas party for work at Betty’s house (in the green). Her house was so beautiful and we had such good food! I feel like all I’m doing lately is eating myself silly! We had such a great time! We also exchanged our secret Santa gifts….

Betty got toe socks and a World Market gift card
JoAnne got a Coldwater Creek gift card (she was mine!)
Shirley got a beautiful crystal candle
Kelly got a snowbaby for her collection
I got a bag full of Starbucks goodies….my co-workers know me well huh?
Julie got some cute red Christmas candle holders and Bath and Body Works

The things you do for a buck!

I got a call today at work asking me if I would be willing to dress up in the buffalo costume for an event, the person that usually did it wasn’t available. They are having a dinner next Tuesday night and needed someone to come and “represent”.

They also offered to pay me to stand there for two hours and wave. I may sweat like a pig in that thing….but you know what times are rough and it’s the holidays! Also, it’s helping them out so I don’t think I’ll mind it too bad 😛 I am kind of nervous though because she said it was hard to see in the costume. If I fall on my badonkadonk and embarrass myself I’ll let y’all know! ha…ha…
