The Perfect Gift with Bose Frames from Best Buy

This post is sponsored by Best Buy.

I have found the perfect gift for YOU this holiday season!  If you know my husband, then you know he’s the most sound obsessed person ever.  He’s obsessed with all things speakers and loves to sit back and listen to music.  That’s the way he relaxes…like a lot of people!  So, when I was asked to try the new Bose Frames I was super excited!  I knew they would be a big hit, especially for the music lovers in your life.  Bose Frames come in two different models, the Bose Alto (large or small sizes), and Bose Rondo.

These are the first audio sunglasses with built-in Bose speakers for an immersive audio experience unlike any other. Personal audio hidden inside two classic designs, each enriched with premium accents and materials. Play music, take calls, and enjoy the sun with UVA/UVB protection.

Here I am wearing the Rondo and the Alto side by side.  You can see the Rondo is a bit more round, and the Alto is style more like a classic RayBan sunglasses style.

These sunglasses are really convenient when you want a hands-free wireless experience.  No wearing headphones with sunglasses, so that frees you up to sit and enjoy being outside without all the wires and fuss!  The Bose Frames allow you to take phone calls, talk to Siri or Google Assistant, and they are super light.  Not to mention the sound through the tiny speakers is impeccable.

Turning on the Frames is as easy as pressing the single button under the right side. The button also serves as a pause/play button for accepting a call. Double press to skip forward, triple for back.  To switch them off just turn them upside down for a second or so. It all works great. The one thing they’re missing is volume control, so you’ll have to use your phone for that.

Everything is controlled using the Bose App.  Bose AR (the app) is an audio-first approach to augmented reality. Bose AR-enabled products have motion sensors embedded inside that can detect your head orientation and body movement while you wear them. Bose AR-enhanced apps can then use this information along with location data from your mobile device to offer you tailored audio content.

These sunglasses are so light you barely even realize there are speakers inside and they sound like you are wearing headphones right over your ears.

Sizing Guide:

Each pair includes a charger.  The charge time varied and they can stay charged for up to 2-3 hours at a time.  These would be great for a road trip, hike, or just being outdoors in general.

The Bose Frames also come with a really nice case.  The Frames support standard Bluetooth audio (SBC) as well as the higher quality AAC audio.

If  you are out shopping this week or searching for the perfect gift for Christmas…check out the Bose Frames at Best Buy.  They are super fun, great quality, and gosh darn it they make me want to wear my sunglasses at night!

And just for kicks….here’s my little diva.  Lots to be thankful for this year!  Happy Thanksgiving everyone 🙂

Eclectic Baby Style with Estella

This is a sponsored post.  All opinions are my own.

Hello all!

I’ve had a great time visiting friends and family in Arkansas this week and I’m headed back home tomorrow.  This summer is going by way too quickly!  Some of you may know already, but I have mentioned to a few people that my twin sister Bonnie is pregnant with a baby GIRL!  We are so excited and so are the boys.  I’ve already been looking at all the girlie things to buy my niece.  I love eclectic pieces and things you can pass on for generations to come.  I found a few things at one of my favorite stores Estella.

Like this precious mermaid doll:

Estella opened in 2002 selling eclectic, high-end designer baby and children’s clothes in New York’s Village.  The concept behind Estella was to bring the amazing, artisan-inspired kids’ clothing seen scattered across Europe to New York.  They are quality items made of organic cotton and bamboo…so they are super soft!

I love this taxi cab blanket:

Estella’s organic baby toys, baby blankets, and nursery decor pillows are one of a kind.

This Pretzel and Hot Dog gift set is too cute!  “I could just eat you up!”

I’m super excited for a little girl to join the family and as you can tell I’ve already been shopping around.  What I love about Estella is there is a lot of gender neutral stuff too, so no matter if you are gifting for a boy or girl there is something for everyone.

Shop now until July 5, using code Indep20off and Enjoy 20% off summer baby gifts, toys, clothes, nursery décor and more from Estella!

Summer time of officially here and y’all it’s HOT outside!  We’ve been visiting the pool several times during the week.  This summer Babiators is on a mission to protect kids’ eyes while they’re out vacationing and doing fun activities.

Here are just a few reasons the Aces line for kids ages 7-14 stands out from the crowd:

  • Accessorized: Each pair comes with an awesome sunglasses silhouette bag and a lens cloth.
  • Safe: UV400 lenses offer 100% UVA and UVB protection and undergo rigorous testing to ensure they’re safe for your child.
  • Durable: Flexible rubber frames, and impact and shatter-resistant lenses won’t break when you bend or twist them. Trust us, we’ve tried!
  • Awesome: Mirrored lenses amp up the cool factor on the classic aviator frame and new navigator frame to help kids express their rad personal styles.
  • Guaranteed: The best part? Aces are backed by the Lost & Found Guarantee™ – if you lose or break your shades in the first year, Babiators will replace them for free. All you pay is shipping.

When I first showed Connor his new sunglasses he said “Wow those make me look so cool Mom!”  Not only was he excited, but I was too!  Did you know kids receive 3X more annual UV exposure than adults, yet parents are almost 2X more likely to wear sunglasses than their children!  I know this is true….because I do it!

TIP:  When choosing sunglasses for your kids, always look for:

  • 100% UVA/UVB protection
  • high-quality, durable frames
  • A comfortable fit and a great style your kids will love

“This post is sponsored in part by Ethical Sourcing Network. All opinions are my own.”

This fall HEB Blooms is introducing a line of beautiful new products from Village Artisan.  What is Village Artisan ladies???  Well, it’s a fashion line full of sari scarves, bags, jewelry, handmade soaps, wooden frames, and handmade paper products.

Village Artisan’s story is one that I feel truly drawn to.  The company gives women in North India the opportunity to train and become skilled at a trade.  These women are able to work in a loving community at a fair wage.  They pour their hearts into every piece of Village Artisan merchandise.  Buying something from Village Artisan is supporting these women, empowering them, and giving them hope.

I just adore this set of bangles I received from Village Artisan, and every time I wear them I think of the beautiful women that made them.

Shopping & Sprinkles

My BFF Ellen drove from Arkansas to come visit ME this past weekend. I love her to pieces and I’m so thankful to have a friendship that has stood the test of time. We’ve been friends since middle school.  No matter what happens in life we can just pick up like we never left. Ellen loves Dallas and she’s the best shopping partner too!

We kicked off the weekend Friday night by going to see  a movie and dinner.  Then Saturday we woke up, drove thru Starbucks (of course) and then headed to the Kendra Scott boutique.

We both came out empty-handed.  Everything in there is so pretty!  It’s pricey, but pretty!  It was fun to look around and see all the jewels and the new line that just came out.

After Kendra Scott we at lunch at Taco Diner.  It was delicious!  I ordered nachos and a “mango” water to drink and it was SOOOOO good!

Of course no meal is complete without dessert. We walked across the street to the Sprinkles ice cream bar. If you’ve never been you are missing something incredible in life. Their flavors are so good and different from a normal ice cream place.

I love dark chocolate so I got a dark chocolate cupcake with a scoop of triple chocolate ice cream.

Ellen got a double scoop of caramel ice cream, red velvet ice cream, topped off with a giant marshmallow! droooooooool.

Once we were full of tacos and cupcakes we waddled over to North Park Mall. The Nordstrom sale was still going on. A lot of stuff was just GONE! I mean it’s still going on for a couple of weeks you would think they could re-stock some??? Oh well….

There was the cutest Pop-Up Shop called #Poketo. I didn’t know Nordstrom had pop-up shops, but apparently they do and the theme changes every season.  Such a fun little spot!

Sunday it was time to say goodbye so we made one last trip to Starbucks and said our farewells before Ellen got back on the road. Thanks for coming to visit us me and come back SOON!!!
