Easter 2014

We had a great Easter weekend!  The weather was perfect.  Lots of memories, family, friends, & praise!  Thankful for all our blessings this year & the time to reflect on Jesus and the sacrifice HE made so that we can live.  It’s so easy to forget when you’re busy living each day….but truly every day we’re given is a blessing.

I especially miss my family back home during this time.  Growing up we spent every Easter at the farm in Arkansas.  I’m thankful for phone calls and Skype in this day and age too 🙂

If you’ve ever met me, you know I can’t stand to wait for surprises!  So, of course I gave Connor his Easter basket early because I get so excited.  A basket full of Ninja Turtles pretty much sums it up.  D7K_7753 D7K_7754 D7K_7757 D7K_7758

My favorite vacation spot is…

Right now I’m dying to go to Ireland and Scotland.  Besides that I loved Paris and England.  We visited for our 10 year anniversary & stayed with Terence’s cousins.  It was a great trip and one I hope we can do again someday!

My favorite clothing item is…

A comfy cardigan.  It’s so flexible and forgiving.  Dressing in layers is always good….especially if you live in Texas and one day it’s 80, the next it’s 40 degrees.

Brancott Estate Wines: Lighter on Calories, Not on Taste

I remember when Terence and I got back from Paris (a trip we took for our 10th anniversary).  We thought we knew all about wine because we drank it practically every day over there.  So, when we returned home we joined one of those “Wine of the Month” clubs.  It lasted awhile and then we decided we liked to pick out our own wine.

All wines are not created equal.

I love to sit back at the end of the day after I get off work and catch up on my DVR while drinking a good glass of wine.  That’s my way of winding down and relaxing 🙂

I recently tried a couple of bottles from Branscott Estate “Flight Song”.  I’m definitely a white wine kind of gal.  I was so excited to try these.  Both were light, crisp, and refreshing.

Terence and I have been trying to cook with natural ingredients all week. We work together to cook our dinner and it’s been fun (sort of). Ha ha! I’m not the best cook. But it’s nice having him help me out since we are both tired when we get home. So this was one of our meals: roasted chicken, potatoes with garlic and rosemary, and mushrooms. Food Network here we come!

This morning Connor told me that Superman shoots lazer beams from his eyeballs. So I asked him to show me how….this is how Superman shoots lazers out of his eyes. He cracks me UP!

This morning I ran by Dunkin Donuts to get a coffee and I saw these adorable Peeps donuts on the sign. I’m not a HUGE donut fan, but because of the cuteness factor I got a couple. “Peep Peep”

Last but not least if you haven’t tried the Younique Fiber Lash you are missing out ladies. I had to try it for myself to believe it, but it really does look like you have falsies on. It’s amazing stuff! Here I am at work today and look at those lashes girrrrrrrrrrrl. So blessed to have such a great work place….I love my job! So thankful that God always provides, and even though I’m nervous about the house hunt I’m so grateful Terence and I both have jobs we love and people we love too! GOD IS GOOD!
