You all know I’ve been looking at getting a new pair of glasses lately.  I’ve been tying on lots of “statement” glasses….as that seems to be the style right now.  Well, I finally found the perfect pair at Firmoo.com and they fit my style and face perfectly!
Here is the style I chose:
Firmoo is the world’s most popular online eyeglasses store.  Vision and Fashion the Frugal Way is the ultimate goal of Firmoo, so it has always committed itself to providing customers with high-quality and fashionable eyewear at the most affordable prices.
Firmoo launched a program offering free eyewear to first-time buyers in order to make more people try Firmoo’s quality products & excellent service. Plus, it’s easy to get your free eyewear, and the delivery is pretty fast! Want to have a try? Just go to HERE to get your FREE pair of glasses!

And what would a blog post be without some updated pictures of my boo boo!  He’s growing up so fast and I have to say I love this age.  He is SO much fun right now and he’s starting to speak full sentences, use the potty, he’s so grown up!  I also signed him up for gymnastics classes starting tomorrow so we shall see how that goes 🙂

Love this boy…he has my heart!

If you live in the DFW area a bunch of us bloggers are getting together for dinner Friday night and I would love to meet ya’ll!  Check out more info HERE!

Chocolate Gravy is Good for the Soul

Last weekend my Mom and Nannie came to see us from Arkansas. I was desperate to see my Nannie.  She had major heart surgery not too long ago and I haven’t seen her in a long while.  It was so nice to wrap my arms around her and give her a big hug and kiss!  She seemed to be doing well and I’m so glad she was able to travel to see us!

Connor was spoiled the entire weekend and got lots of loving from his Nana and Nannie Sue 🙂

Nannie cooked us a good dinner one night with fried taters, fried okra, fried squash, and home grown tomatoes (my favorite!).  Oh how I miss that good cooking!

She also got up early one morning and made us a yummy breakfast that including another favorite chocolate gravy.  If you don’t know what chocolate gravy is it’s probably a southern thing….but it’s the yummiest gravy and you just poor it over biscuits and gobble every bite!

My Mom, Connor, and Nannie
Chocolate gravy = YUMMY!
CHOCOLATE GRAVY
1/4 cup sugar

2 tablespoons cocoa

1 tablespoon flour

3/4 cup milk

4 teaspoons butter

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Do you think Connor enjoyed it???

Nannie working hard in the kitchen….
Connor loved his Nana holding him and he got lots of kisses and snuggles.
HOME GROWN tomatoes….there is nothing like it!

Nannie bought Connor some cars.  A police car, ambulance, and fire truck….complete with siren noises.  He’s been sleeping with them every night and taking them with him everywhere!  I can’t tell you how many times during this week I’ve thought I was getting pulled over, only to realize it was Connor’s toy police car! Whew!!!  ha ha!!!

He’s been asking all week “Where Nanas go?”
Breaks my heart.
We miss you so much and thank you for coming to see us!
We are so blessed to have you!
COME BACK SOON!!!

Naked Eyes

Hi Everyone,
In case you missed my review of the great new Baby Orajel Naturals teething product, you can still read it here (though the giveaway has ended). I also wanted to let you know that if you are one of the lucky women attending the BlogHer conference in NYC on August 3-4, 2012, you can visit the Baby Orajel folks at Booth 1100 to learn more about taking care of your little one’s teeth and gums! They may even have some product samples to share with you so be sure to stop by.

My Mom and Nannie came to see us this past weekend from AR as you know.  My Nannie gave me a lil spending money so I finally splurged and got the Naked 2 palette at Sephora.  I’ve been salivating over this eye palette forever, but could never get up the nerve to spend the money on it.

Here it is and I LOVE IT!

The sweet girl at Sephora did my eyes for me that day and they looked great!  I have been trying to re-create the look she did for me ever since then….but I haven’t been able to apply the eyeshadow exactly like she did.  Terence took this picture of me with my eyes all done 🙂

I know it’s a lot of money to spend on eye makeup.  You get 12 shades, and that rounds out to about $4.15 for each shadow…so it’s not too bad!

The palette has every color you would ever need and I must say I’m having a lot of fun doing my eye makeup in the morning.  If you’ve been resisting the urge to splurge on the Naked2 Palette, just start saving up because I think it’s a great investment and hopefully I won’t need eye makeup for a long while now!

Shopping at Cookies Kids!

I posted this picture last week and I’ve had several people ask about Connor’s Snoopy Pajamas.  They were purchased at the cutest store online called CookiesKids.com.  He loves them and he actually picked them out!

He really loves these Snoopy pajamas!
And get this….they were only $9.99!!!
So Adorable!

I found so many great things at CookiesKids.com.  Connor is constantly out growing his clothing because he’s growing like a weed.  Going shopping at the mall with him is such a chore…all he wants to do is hide in the clothing racks!  Ha ha!

I really enjoy shopping online because it’s convenient and saves me time.  I have such a busy schedule and shopping at stores like CookiesKids.com really fits my lifestyle and makes my life easier that’s for sure!  CookiesKids.com is a great place to find Kids Fashion, Kids Style, School Uniforms, Kids Clothes.

I went online looking for some summer and fall clothing.  I love the plaid short selection they have at CookiesKids.com.  Connor also is crazy about Cars the movie too.  I couldn’t believe how great the prices were on CookiesKids.com.  They were amazingly low, even lower than I would find in a department store!

You can see some of the items I liked while shopping on #CookiesKids site.  I saved to my Polyvore board below:

Cookies Kids is celebrating 40 years of business & here is a little history:

In 1972, a young man named Cookie and his brother Marvin went into business together. They rented a 1600 square foot store in Jamaica, Queens, fixed it up, bought inventory and Summer and Fall, and opened a day after Thanksgiving with a full stock of holiday toys. The toys were a success and they put the extra money toward buying children’s clothing for the next season. When that did well, they bought more clothing. The business was on it’s way.
As the brothers Cookie, Marvin and Sonny, who had come in as a third partner in the business, began to open new stores in new locations, inventory expanded. Besides the latest fashions, our customers wanted shoes, toys, backpacks and accessories and we were prepared to deliver.
By the late 1990’s there were six superstores throughout the NYC area, and though they previously had different names, by that time they were all named Cookie’s Kids. Also in the late ’90s came an important addition to Cookie’s Kids’ inventory: school uniforms. It was the steady success in uniform sales that paved the way for founding CookiesKids.com in 2007, which originally sold uniforms and soon after the entire Cookie’s Kids Inventory.
