BFF in Town

One of my best friends, Ellen, was in town last night.ย  I miss her so much!ย  I’ve known Ellen since middle school.ย  She’s been a wonderful friend, a shopping companion, and a buffer between many arguments involving me and Bon! LOL!ย  It’s hard to be friends with twins ๐Ÿ˜›
We met in middle school and have been friends since.ย  We have lots of great memories growing up together…I miss those days!ย  Ellen was in Frisco last night so we met up at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, cheesecake, and some spontaneous makeup/jewelry shopping at Norstrom.ย  Ellen is always so much fun to shop with, she has a degree in fabric textiles and works for JCPenny.ย  I hope some day she can get a job at the headquarters here in Texas so I can have her here close by.ย  Ellen, it was so great to see you and visit, even if only for a little while.ย  Love ya! After consuming enough calories to feed a small country for a month we walked around the mall a bit.ย  Probably should have done a few more laps after these bad boys!

We stopped by Pottery Barn Kids in the mall and saw this chair.ย  Connor LOVED this chair…like seriously bouncing up and down.ย  Do ya’ll have one of these chairs for your kids?ย  Do they actually sit in them?ย  I’m trying to justify the price of this chair because it’s a bit expensive!

Brain Dump of the Week

This summer it’s incredibly hot.ย  It’s the kind of weather that wants me to pack my bags and shack up with my BFF Sara in Alaska.ย  I want to hibernate in a fridge all day.ย 
Oh!ย  Did I tell ya’ll I am getting a COMPLETE MAKEOVER on July 2nd???ย  I won the makeover and I’ll also be giving one away to a lucky reader too!ย  I am so excited!ย  I can’t decide if I want to go back to dark hair or go even lighter for the summer???ย  Suggestions would be awesomeness!
Speaking of hair : I love this messy side bun I’ve been wearing lately.ย  It’s so easy and if I’m having a bad hair day it’s my go to hairstyle….

This little dude has had nothing but attitude all week.ย  He’s getting some teeth in that is for SURE!ย  What happened to my angel child???ย  I know this will pass….hopefully soon.ย  In the mean time I’m just trying to stay on top of the Orajel & Tylenol…..oh and coffee too!

I love being able to pack Connor’s lunch now & not worry about packing breast milk bottles or other miscellaneous “baby” items.ย  It is so much easier with table foods.ย  I finally took both bottle racks off my kitchen counter this weekend and it freed up so much space.ย  His lunch box and plate/bowl are from SkipHop.ย  Aren’t they precious!

I bought some blank note cards at Target this past weekend.ย  I love to write letters and use cute stationary.ย  It’s so much more thoughtful than an email.ย  I found these note cards and they came with a template to print your own personal message on front.ย  I was playing around and some of them are crooked, but for the most part they turned out cute!

Connor is loving them right now.ย I’m sure they feel good on his gums!

I saw this cake in my Martha Stewart Living Magazine last week.ย  I must make it sometime.ย  It’s called a chocolate chip cookie ice box cake and it looks A-mazing!

Does anyone else think there is a cat in the right hand side of this tree?
