Getting Ready to Part-ay!

OMG ya’ll I’m going to go flat out broke planning this party!  Well, I’ve tried to remain within a budget so my husband doesn’t kill me….but still it’s hard because I am so excited.  I’ve actually never thrown a party and I don’t know how this is all going to turn out.  Sometimes I just look around and I don’t have a plan, but I think it will be fine in the end.  It just gives me something to do and I love to be creative and crafty!
See all these owls I’ve tediously cut out???
I have no idea what I am going to do with them???
Owl trees
Ooops!  Ignore the glue that dried WHITE on that left hand corner! gah!

Toppers for something I dunno….not cupcakes though???
Okay-that is all I am sharing until the party day…I’ve pretty much shown everything!
I need help with party food, Hors d’oeuvres , punch…suggestions PLEASE???

  1. You are such an amazing mom!! The decor is precious!! What a great 1st birthday for an adorable little boy!

  2. Beautiful Becky! I can’t wait to see pictures. These are my food suggestions:

    1. Pinwheels from Sams. My absolute favorite. They are soooo good, come in the freezer section. You don’t cook them or anything. Seriously. Thaw and eat. Ah-mazing.

    2. Goldfish for kiddos

    3. Chicken Salad from Sams. Ours sells out in like 5 mins after the store opens. They use their fresh rotisserie chickens. It’s the best chicken salad I’ve ever had. We always put them on croissants for guests. Im sure you could call ahead and theyd make you some. Its like $10 and huge.

    4. Cheese ball and crackers

Of course there’s more. The Sams items are my fav. though and we never throw a party without them.

  3. I am loving the oldie but goody pics 🙂 My mom used to make us those types of cakes too. I wish I had the skill to make one. Connor’s party looks like it is going to turn out super cute! Can’t wait to see the end result. 🙂

  4. I love all your decor!!! It’s going to be so much fun!!! I also love the fact that you and your sister each had your own cake!!! How super special is that!!!!!

  5. We made this punch for our Christmas party and it came out SO tasty! What was even better is that you freeze it so you don’t have to worry about icing it down to keep it cold- you put it out before your guests arrive and then as it melts it stays cold. So easy to make and tastes great! Give it a try if you’re interested!! Everything looks so fantastic- your party is going to be amazing!!
