Jimmy Dean Better Breakfast, Better You & $100 Giveaway!!!

This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Jimmy Dean, however the opinions and feelings expressed here are my own.

A great way kick start a healthy life style is by getting enough protein each day. I recently had the opportunity to try Jimmy Dean D-Lights  for breakfast.  I had the turkey sausage bowl and it was D-elicious! I love eggs, cheese, and turkey…..and when mixed together it makes for a very tasty breakfast!

I am a wife, mom, and I work a full time job so I don’t always have time to cook a good breakfast in the morning. The Jimmy Dean D-Lights Turkey Sausage Breakfast bowl was a great option for me because it is quick, easy, and tasty all in one!

With only 230 calories and 23 grams of protein, I’d say this is a great way to kick start my new year goal!

Our family has been trying to make healthier choices lately by exercising and eating right. Let’s face it, it’s easy to get comfortable and let yourself go. When I exercise and eat right I feel better about myself and I have more energy to get things done during the day. I want to live longer and stay healthier to watch my son grow up.

In 2011 I want to try and be a better me….for myself, for my husband, and for my son. During my pregnancy last year I gained 65 pounds and it has not been easy trying to get the weight off. It’s something I’ve been struggling with for almost ten months now.  Incorporating protein in my daily diet has definitely helped me try and reach my goal.

My body had been through a lot of changes this year and I still have a ways to go….so tell me……

  1. Awe!! Seriously, seeing tha tpicture of you pregnant made me smile… HA Ummm I think that with this pregnancy I am more aware of what I should do and shouldn’t. With my first, I ate what I wanted, when I wanted. This go around I am trying to be more aware. Hopefully that makes for a better end result than my previous one. Ahhh You looked so cute!!

  2. I am going to keep off the 35 lbs. I lost in the past year AND I am going to work on eating less sugar and exercise more.

I also need to make the choice to stop using my TWO and ONE year old as my excuse for my bulging belly. haha! It’s not their fault anymore! 😉

  4. You look great in this picture missy – love your hair!!!!

A better 2011 for me would be to lose a bit of weight and get pregnant with # 2 so Kylon has a friend to play with.

  5. I came over from your sister’s blog.

I live in Ft Worth too! 🙂

I am going to drink more water, take my vitamins daily and try to walk several times a week. I need the energy to keep up with my 2 year old!

  6. 2011 – I want to get my family on a regular routine. Going to bed at a normal time, waking up for breakfast – I’m a SAHM and still don’t get up to make breakfast for everyone. My kiddos sleeping patterns are horrible and I need to get things right. I think we will all feel better if we get in a routine!

I want to eat three healthy meals a day and get back to the gym. I would love to loose these last 10lbs.

    Btw, Becky, you look great!

  7. I;m going to try to drink more water this year. I’m losing weight and am happy with it but I think staying hydrated more with something other then soda and kool aid will help.

  8. I have 15lbs that I am dying to loose. Hoping they fall off after David deploys!! I love Jimmy Dean Sausage biscuits. These sound amazing!

  9. I look forward to bettering myself in the coming year. Not only will I lose weight for myself I will also be a better role model for my two kids. That is the best I can wish for in the new years.

  10. IN 2011 I hope to exercise more. I am on my feet all day and that makes it hard to want to exercise after work. I don’t like using showers at the gym, so that cuts out the morning work out as well. I think I will try just walking in my neighborhood some and watching what I eat. I like the ease of the sausage bowl. I like a hot breakfast in on cold winter mornings. I want to try it and see how it tastes.

  17. In 2011, my husband and I plan to eat healthier and excercise more often. We are getting our treadmill next week, so that will be extremely helpful! We are also going to sit down and set some financial goals! Or goal for 2011 is to LOSE and SAVE! 🙂

  18. I plan to eliminate some of the processed ingredients that I use to throw together quick meals. My new fancy slow-cooker will definitely be a big help with this, as I can now have a super healthy meal ready for me when I get home from working late nights!

  32. I don’t really eat breakfast. I just tend not to wake up early enough to make time to do so. But with more sleep I definitely do enjoy breakfast.

As for my goal for the new year its to start eating healthier, but eating more salads and such, and to start actually working out!

  33. I love breakfast food, so maintaining that routine will be easy for me. I’m not so enthused about exercise. However, I’m having back surgery this Thursday. 36. I’m going to be getting back in shape after my 2nd baby (due any day now!!!). I plan to focus on incorporating whole foods and gradually increasing to a more intense workout routine. I would love to do a race or some other fitness event before the end of the year.

  38. I have resolved to actually eat breakfast in the morning. Usually I just run out of the house and don’t even think about it. So by mid-morning, I am starving and I have to go the vending machine to get something to snack on. So by eating a healthy breakfast every day, I should be able to curb all of the snacking that I do.

  39. I am setting aside 15 minutes daily for deep breathing and relaxation exercises. When I feel less stressed, it’s easier to stay on track with my goals, both health and otherwise.
