Hot Hot Weekend!

This is pretty much what we did all weekend…..vegged out…..
IT IS WAY TOO HOT TO BE OUTSIDE!!!
We wanted to get out on Saturday so we drove to a landscape place in Fort Worth and on the way my air conditioner seemed really hot. Terence pulled into an Auto Zone and got some freon to put in my car….well….it turns out he over pumped the car with freon so the next few hours we ended up at Firestone Tires where $60 later they ended up draining it all out of my car and filling it back up. Meanwhile we are all sweating like pigs waiting for all of this work to be done! UGH! I am so glad it wasn’t anything major wrong with the air conditioner and we just overdid it on the freon.
Friday we had a potluck at work and I always make cake balls
I usually do the red velvet with chocolate because those tend to be a favorite!
Don’t you love my Starbucks apron that Laura gave me??? I LOVE IT!

This weekend I was feeling really drained from the previous week. It seems like I can never get enough done during the day. I am trying to figure out how to manage my time better and let some things go. I am major OCD and a neat freak so this has been very challenging for me! I don’t know how some of you Mom’s do it….blog….work….twitter….this social networking is wearing me out so I think I am going to give it a rest for a bit and spend more time on my family and other things so I won’t get so overwhelmed all the time. I love to blog and visit blogs….but lately I feel like it’s something I have to do instead of something I WANT to do….so I am just going to continue to do things as I have time and not worry about what others think of me or how often I post. I want this to continue to be a fun thing for me and not something I stress over because I don’t have time to surf the Internet like I used to. I mean how do the rest of you manage all of this? It may be easier if you are a SAHM, but unfortunately I don’t have that luxury… maybe someday if God wills that can happen 🙂

Connor has been very vocal this week!
He’s definitely found his voice and is using it! He does this grunting noise and it’s so funny!
Nana bought him a play center and he LOOOOVES it!
He is definitely becoming more active and he likes to stand up now.
My Mom (Nana) will be here on Thursday and I am counting down the hours until then!

I see you!

Last night we babysat cousin Arielle
I hope they always have a special bond because they have practically been together since birth! They were born a day apart & are such sweet babies!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
XOXO Becky

  1. I went to go buy my Tessa an Exersaucer today, but realized my 20% off coupon isn’t good until Friday! Boo! I’m glad to see Connor likes his. He’s just a couple of weeks older than Tessa, so I hope she likes hers as much as he likes his!

  2. Connor is so stinking cute! He looks like such a happy baby! Glad everything is okay with your a/c- that is no fun!

  3. I love your apron…so cute. And those cake balls look so yummy!

Your little mister just gets cuter everyday! I love the 1st pic of him in the exersaucer…such a big little man.

    Have a great week girl!

  4. I know, it is WAY too hot. I can’t stand it these days. I’m sitting outside this morning though because I’m in the shade and there is a BREEZE!!! Wow. It is ridiculous how hot it can get here. I’m so over it. Q and I are totally excited about fall. Pumpkin patches and scarves! Oh I’m excited!

  5. 1. I LOVE your Starbucks apron! So cute!!!
    2. If you ever need a mechanic again, I have a dis-recommendation for ya. 😉
    3. Totally understand on the social media overload, and I’m not even a mom. We’ll be here reading whenever you’re writing–no pressure!

  6. I understand the crazy life and not being able to blog or anything. That is how it is for me during the school year. I love the pictures of Connor!

  7. I’m don’t have any kids to worry about and still have been feeling a little overwhelmed with blogging lately. I feel a like a let myself down if I’m not reading blogs and commenting everyday. And I have to remind myself that its ok if I go a day without blogging. It’s a little crazy to think how much time I spend on blogs never when a few years ago I never did.
