Fun Weekend in Dallas

Connor & I met up with our friends Laura & Gooner at North Park mall in Dallas
Laura is one of the sweetest blogger friends I have met and is also one of the healthiest! She has gotten so skinny! Go check out her blog if you are looking for looking for tips & healthy ways to eat 🙂 I haven’t seen Laura since November of last year when I was still pregnant with Connor so it was nice they finally got to meet each other in person! We had a great time Laura and G! Thanks for coming to meet up with us and letting Terence tag along!
Here’s Laura & Connor
And here is Laura’s precious angel “Gooner
She is SO beautiful!!!

This is Connor last night in an activity center at my mother in law’s house. He just LOOOOVES this thing and we have so got to get him one of these activity centers because he’s getting to the point where he doesn’t like to lay flat anymore. What kinds of toys/activity centers do you guys recommend?

We are starting rice/oatmeal cereal for the first time tonight! Wish us luck!

  1. good luck with the rice/oatmeal. jacob didn’t really like it at first. stick with it though. woo hoo for moving towards solids! it gets so much fun to feed them now, haha. 😉

  2. LC loved his exersaucer! We used to roll up receiving blankets and put between his tummy and the front of the seat. Looks like Connor has it all worked out though! He is so cute!

  3. oooo I love North Park. It’s so clean and fancy 😉 We’ll have to meet up there! So my mom found Lauren an activity center at a consignment sale for only $15. We have a big sale coming up here in a couple weeks – Just Between Friends. It’s a chain. See if one is near you. I think there might be one in Dallas. It’s massive.

  4. They are so much fun when they start being able to play in things. A lifesaver for mom too – can actually put them down to play and get other things done – yay!
We have the same exersaucer but in pink & purple from Brooklynn. I feel bad b/c he is getting all girlie hand me downs…so that’s why we have just brought out the Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo – at least its gender neutral for pics…hahaha!

Oh and I completely agree – if you can find these big items at a consignment sale or garage sale or craigslist – get them there. They use them for such a short time. We got our $80 jumperoo off craigslist for $25! And it didn’t even look like it had been used 🙂

  5. cute pics!!

my ped. told me not to put T-A in anything like that because of it causing hip problems…but who knows!

T-A loved her cereal..but wont eat it any more..lol..she loves her baby food too much!

  6. NorthPark is always good! I love that y’all got to meet Kevin Jonas and that he was so sweet. I also love Connor’s TCU shirt. Go Frogs! 🙂

  7. We had that exact same play center for both of our kids! They both loved it.

Both of my kids took about a week to get used the the rice cereal thing. Hayden was much quicker to like it. Layla needed hers really runny, and I had to work her into a thicker cereal form.

Hayden’s belly took a day or two to adjust, but once he did…oh girl…he loved it. And he slept longer.

You are a great mommy! Just do what you think is best for him. Oh I can’t wait to see him again :)) and you too…teehee!

  8. good luck with the rice/oatmeal. jacob didn’t really like it at first. stick with it though. woo hoo for moving towards solids! it gets so much fun to feed them now, haha. 😉
