It’s a Boy!

Well, here I am sitting in the hospital room writing my second post (I don’t think this time will take me 15 minutes since I definitely have something to write about 🙂 ).

Many of you have waited nine months for this moment — Drum Roll Please — I’m here to announce that Connor James Branch has officially been born. He’s a whopper at 9 pounds 14 ounces and is 20 ½ inches long.

Becky ended up having a c-section (expected) and everything went just fine. Connor is healthy and I’m sure there will be more to follow.

I ask you continue to pray and support Becky since she will be trying to breastfeed. This can often times be very demanding on the mother; however, Connor seems willing to try (and that’s a start given he’s never had to do this before!).

Thank you again for being part of our “family”.

Blessings to you all,
–Terence

  1. He is soooo adorable!!

    CONGRATS!

Becky..the best advice I can give you on breast feeding:
DO NOT GIVE UP..it is so painful and hard in the beginning..but it gets BETTER.
Be patient with yourself and sweet connor..it’s all new 🙂
You will be great and you CAN do this!

  2. Yea! Yea! Yea! He’s here! I am so happy for your new little family! Can’t wait to hear all about his new little life! My prayers are with you for successful breastfeeding. I’ve heard it isn’t easy… I want to recommend a couple of podcasts: Mommy’s Milk & More is a few years old, but still available on iTunes. The other is New Moms, New Babies. Both are branches off of PregTASTIC, the one I’ve been on a few times!

  3. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!!!!!!

  6. Ohhhhhhh yeah congratulations!

and so glad to hear your breastfeeding. That was the best part about having my son. Now at 10 months old and still exclusively breastfed and both of us loving it. If you have any questions please ask. Its really hard in the beginning just remember you will feel like a human pacifier at first but the amount of time they spend on the breast at each feeding will go from 45 minutes down to about 5 minutes each time. Keep that in mind!Good luck and have fun getting to know the new man in your life.

  7. Congratulations!!! You all were quiet for a few days and I was really excited, hoping that meant it was time!!! Can’t wait to see more pictures and give Becky and Connor a hug from us!
