It’s been quite a challenging first week for us. We are getting in a groove though. Connor is starting to sleep more and my milk is getting better. I am pumping right now and trying to keep a supply in the fridge. We went back to the pediatrician this morning and he is up 1/2 a pound! He loves to suck on his hands and newborn clothing barely fits him! He is a big boy!
I had to get back on some antidepressants because I have been feeling really down. There is absolutely NO reason I should feel down right now…but I don’t want to end up with post pardom and I’m trying to do what is best for me and Connor. Our whole world has changed this week and it’s a WONDERFUL change and when I see my baby’s face I just want to melt. God is so good and I’m so thankful for this little blessing.
Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to figure things out 🙂

  1. Most moms go through a this experience at first.
    Do not beat yourself up.
Life changes so quickly and so dramatic it takes a while to get your feet planted with a new routine.

Love ya girl. Praying for you and so enjoying the adorable pictures of baby Connor.
What a sweet blessing for your family.

  2. He is so adorable and such a beautiful baby!!! Just know you are completely normal to have these feelings, it’s such a overwhelming feeling at first!!!

Hang in there, your doing a great job and if you need to talk, I”m here!

  3. You must look after yourself too! Do whatever the Dr says you need to feel and be well. That is the only way you can be a great mother. You are no good to anyone if you are feeling down.

We are all so proud of you out here in blog land!

  4. Congratulations Becky. He is such a handsome guy. I’m glad you’re both doing well and getting the hang of things. I’ll say a prayer that things get better as far as your “sadness” goes.

  5. oh girl…becoming a mommy is such a change! I wasn’t prepared for how emotional I would be. I had a c section too and my mom came to help out for a week and the day she left my heart just sank and I cried and cried. I looked and my son and thought “what I am gonna do with you”? I laugh about it now but it was exciting a scary all at the same time. Things will fall into place and I will keep you all in my thoughts. Have a great weekend!

  6. Praying for you all the time!! He really is so adorable Becky! You are a GREAT mom, and the Lord will continue to guide you =)

  7. My sister-in-law got on some medicine after she had my niece for the exact same reason (a little down, didn’t want it to be full-blown post-partum), and she said it helped and she did not regret doing it.

He’s so sweet! FYI – I’m sure we’re all totally okay if you just have a post full of pictures! 🙂

  8. I’m sorry that you’re feeling sad… and I’ll be praying that the medicine will help.
