No Progress

Well, apparently I have a stubborn baby on my hands because he’s sitting SO high! He still hasn’t dropped down any and I haven’t dilated at all. I was so disappointed at the Dr’s office I almost started crying…don’t get me wrong…I am beyond excited about Connor and his arrival and the blessing he is to our lives….I am just literally in pain right now. His hands feel like they are on the sides of my belly and my ribs are just killing me with soreness. My ankles are so swollen that I can’t feel my feet. I have absolutely no more room to spread out! The Dr. said if I go past 40 wks we will talk about inducing, but the thought of waiting another week past my due date makes me want to scream! I hope I am not being too whiny about this…I am SO excited for this baby and I can’t wait to see him and give him kisses and hugs and all those beautiful things….it’s just really hard to function right now, not to mention I am still working every day…trying to hang in there!

Thank you for all your prayers and they are so loved and appreciated!

  1. Becky, I feel so bad for you! My little one didn’t drop either. Two days before she was due I had my appt. My doc said she probably couldn’t drop because of my pelvic bone so she scheduled a c section. I feel your pain. Hang in there and rest as much as you can.

  2. So I will be 40 weeks on Friday and I’m not “making progress” either. I am done working now because of the foot pain. I am not “complaining,” either. But I definitely hope this baby comes soon.

  3. Hang in there! And remember – if he stays in there too long it’s something you can give him crap about it for the rest of his life! 🙂

  4. You are SO not whiny. I was miserable my ENTIRE second pregnancy. I complained from day 1, lol. The end is MISERABLE. You’re sharing your body with another person. Discomfort is understandable. Mom to mother-to-be advise is… put your feet up whenever you can, relax as much as possible, and eat chocolate. 🙂

  5. Bless your heart, Becky, this is the hardest time in your pregnancy but believe me, you will forget all of this misery as soon as that sweet baby is in your arms!
Hang in there….the best is yet to be!!

Praying for baby to come soon and safely!

  6. Becky it wont be long now. I can full understand your crankles as I have them most days and I am not pregnant. It is not a nice feeling at all.

I will keep you in my prayers

  7. Your not whining! I think anyone that makes it this far along feels the exact same way. Your excited, but your just so tried of it. When I went at 40 weeks and they told me I still hadn’t progressed, I started crying too! Don’t feel bad! He will be out before you know it!

  8. Oh Becky, I was 11 days past due with Sylvie before the doctor finally induced. It was a miserable feeling so I know how you feel. Trust me when I tell you, the first time you hold him, you’ll forget all of this bad stuff, I promise! Good luck

  9. I feel your pain! I am 37 weeks- not as far as you, but in a smiliar state!! It is so miserable! Presley hasn’t dropped either and is killing my RIBS!! It hurts to even breath! My doctor said he would let me go to 42 weeks– and she already weighs 7 lbs!! It was the most depressing visit ever!!!! I will be thinking and praying for you, I just keep thinking of the precious gift on the other side…

  10. You are such a trooper for going in to work every day…I think I would have given up long ago! I keep thinking I am going to log on and see a picture of a little baby on your blog! Take care!

  11. iT’S BEST FOR HIM TO BAKE AS LONG AS POSSIBLE..but believe me..I know the desperation to get him out now..lol!
