Home Stretch

Cravings…. I made a peanut butter pie tonight with REAL whipped cream Paula Dean style
It was gooood!
Another thing I crave has been frozen grapes
They are delish if you stick them in the freezer overnight

These last couple months of pregnancy are going so SLOW! I’m having the hardest time getting comfortable at night and relaxing enough to let myself fall asleep. Poor Terence….I know I wake him up several times too. Connor is a moving and a shaking, especially when I lay down to go to bed! It seems like every customer that comes into work wants to share their birth story with me or tell me how HUGE I am. I know…I know….
Hopefully one day I will return to my formally alert self. According to Bonnie the sleep deprivation will only get worse. Ya’ll should go read her post today…I don’t know how my poor Momma did TWO at once! Bless her!
Thank you all for your sweet comments, they mean so much! Even if I don’t comment back right away…I do read your blogs as well….most of the time the words escape me or I just can’t think of something clever to say….
So many of you have given me great advice and lead such blessed lives, some have even become friends…for that I am very thankful! I am most thankful for the prayers. At this time I am scared and nervous about having a baby, the delivery, raising him right, will I be a good mom and wife and be able to prioritize everything? Lots of emotions and thoughts going on right now…but God has never failed me and never will 🙂 Amen!
-Okay I am done rambling….I am off to bed or I won’t get up tomorrow for work! XOXO Becky

  1. The peanut butter pie looks wonderful! You read my mind when you said that about two babies…that is exactly what I thought when I read Bonnie’s blog earlier!

  2. You are going to be an AMAZING mom.

I can’t imagine how scary it all seems when everything is still kinda uncertain until he hurrys up and is BORN already… but you are going to be great. Your hubby is going to be great.

    You can do it!!

And if you need a stand in baby whisperer… I’m SO available to fly in and help out. Cause I love me some baby cuteness.

Hope you get some rest… hang in there!

  3. I’m glad you posted; I was getting worried. I wish I new what bank you worked at because I would come in and share my birth story with you 😉 I’m sorry you are feeling miserable. Just think, it will all be over soon. I got much more sleep, and better sleep once Gooner was born. Each baby is different and each mom is different. And YOU are a great Mom.

  4. Been wondering about ya. 🙂 Glad everything is a-ok, that pie looks delish. I remember the last few months of pregnancy all so clearly. It was so hard to rest…hang in there, even though sleep deprivation has only begun, at least you can sleep twisted into the shape of a pretzel those few hours you get! 🙂

  5. God will always, always make a way. I’ve never had babies but I He always does in all other aspects of life so I hope it’s true for babies too ;o)

Blessings in the last few weeks!! Can’t wait to see pics of the baby.

PS – if you keep baking like that would you like a live in nanny?!?!

  6. That pie looks so good! Will you e-mail me the recipe? I wanna make it! Your almost there sidder…like I said over the phone earlier, you may be getting uncomfortable sleep, but at least your getting SOME sleep! Try your best to get all the rest you can now, b/c you won’t get much after! I had a meltdown on the phone with mom yesterday & I just started crying. It is so frustrating not knowing what to do to make him stop crying. I’m praying for you sidder 🙂

PS. Go listen to that Carrie Underwood song on my blog! Love you!

  7. Just came upon your blog. love it! and I knew we would be good blog friends b/c of that pie. 😉 I love peanut butter pie… yummy. 🙂

    God bless!!

  8. yuummmmm. That pie looks awesome and frozen grapes are pretty good!!

I think you are going to be a great Mom! But I think it’s something we all worry about…I am not even 100% ready to have a baby yet, but I still worry about being a good Mom!

  9. My Mom always wondered what happened to my maternal instinct. While I was good with pets, I never *liked* kids. Due to this knowledge, I also worried what type of Mom I would be . . . let me tell you, there’s no need to worry. The love that will pour out of you instantaneously is overwhelming!

    I’m thinking of you guys!

Just putting it out there though, since I read Bonnie’s post. Newborns don’t get the message that they shouldn’t be held 24/7 or that they should sleep more than 1 hour at a time. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to adjust your expectations to reality. The quicker it happens usually results in less tears, both your’s and baby’s. 🙂

  10. Yummmmmm….pie….=)

Aren’t you tired of people telling you how huge you are? Seriously, it amazes me what people think is appropriate to say to a pregnant woman!!!

Praying that you feel God’s peace my friend!

  11. You are going to be such a great Mommy! Don’t you worry one bit about that! and please share the pb pie recipe!! i need to make it=)! (i had so many people saying crazy things to me too including how big i was! you are cute and the perfect size so don’t even let any of their nonsense comments get to you;))

  12. Don’t know if I’ve told you before, but congrats on your pregnancy!!! How exciting that you and Bonnie went through this together!!!

I pity my poor husband for having to sleep in the same bed as me too… I toss and turn so much, I’m even aggravated with myself!!
