UGLY Christmas Sweater party

Saturday night Terence and I went over to our friends Adam & Christa’s house for their ugly Christmas sweater party. It was a lot of fun…thanks you guys! The most challenging part was finding something to wear! Everyone looked awesome and I realized most of the guys wore women’s sweaters LOL! Save those 80’s sweaters ya’ll you never know when you may wear them again!

Christa-the hostess with the mostess & me
I found this vest on Ebay (figured it was safe with a vest since I am HUGE)
It has Christmas teddy bears on it!
Terence wore a bugs bunny tie that belonged to his Dad
We searched for him something, but no luck so that was our last resort!

They had a singing quartet come and sing us Christmas carols
They did a really good job!

Here they are singing “Santa Baby” to Adam
You can see he’s enjoying all that attention eh?
LOL!

North or South?

I know a lot of people like The North Face brand jackets and pullovers. Although, in Texas there is not much of a reason to wear them and if you do it’s a short time. Have ya’ll heard of the college guy who started a company called The South Butt? I heard about this the other day and thought it was hilarious. He’s made a pretty good profit off of starting this online company and now The North Face is suing him! Awe! I know Terence likes the NF stuff so just wanted to share this useless knowledge!

Busy Busy!

Wow! The month of December is just flying by! It’s been incredibly busy at home and at work so I’ve just been exhausted when I get home. This past weekend we celebrated Christmas with Terence’s family and later this week I am going to a Christmas party for work. It seems like every day I have come home and had a TON to do! My back has sort of been bothering me and it’s been tough to get to sleep at night, but other than that I am feeling really well!
I hope my Mom, Dad, and Nannie are going to be able to come visit on Christmas weekend and this will be the first time for them to see the new house, so that is exciting! Still working on getting it all sorted and together. I think sister is about to pop any day now and I can’t wait to meet little Jarrett! His nursery is SO cute if you haven’t seen it look here.

Our crib was delivered today
It only took Terence a couple hours to assemble! LOL! It took longer than he thought.
The mattress should be in this week too and T’s mom is making the OWL bedding.
I ordered this from Etsy to put on the wall in Connor’s room
This is a Christmas present from our niece Hannah. She molded everyone STUFF out of some sort of clay….this was Terence’s it’s supposed to be Santa Claus getting arrested….hmmmm
Her Dad is a police officer…maybe that was where she got this idea from? LOL!

This one is mine
It’s “a skull with makeup on it”

I didn’t get a ton of pictures of the night, but this is Joel and Rebecca
Terence’s sister is due a day or so before me and she’ll be watching baby
Connor next year when I go back to work
Here is Terence getting some practice in with our nephew Benjamin.
He looks comfy!

Table keeps getting longer and longer every year….
next year we’ll add TWO more chairs…oh my!

This is my mother in law’s crazy bread that kept growing in the oven,
but it was SO good and soft when it came out! Thank you all for a wonderful early Christmas and we are so blessed to have you as family ๐Ÿ™‚

Christmas Luncheon 2009

This year was my second year to help out with the bank’s travel club Christmas luncheon. I always enjoy going and seeing all our customers all together. The travel club is called “Roamers” and they are mostly retired folks who love to travel all over the world together. One day when I get older and retire I WANT to be a Roamer!

Me in front of the beautiful tree
I am like the ornaments…sparkly, shiny, and round! LOL!

This was our entertainment, this man had the most awesome voice! I think Betty found him on Crystal Cruises and he works there most of the time….so if you ever take a cruise look for Michel!

Our fearless leader, Betty

This is one of my FAVORITE customers!
Jimmy is always so sweet and always living life to the fullest!

Julie & Me
JoAnn & her husband BJ

The room was so pretty and the desserts they served…I wanted another one, but I don’t NEEEED it! It was some sort of chocolate mousse in a toffee shell

Oh Christmas Tree!!! Oh Christmas tree!!!
I just woke up from a four hour nap and now I am going to go scour the kitchen because I am starving! Of course we have no food because I need to go to the store. Maybe tomorrow….
Hope you all are having a great weekend!

In The Land of Egg Nog

I used to not like eggnog, but over the years have developed a certain fondness to it this time of year. Just the smell reminds me of Christmas and I know it’s LOADED with lots of Paula Dean fat creamy goodness, but who cares! I say that now…because I am sporting quite a belly!
We’ll talk about that a few months from now when I am depressed because nothing in my closet fits anymore! LOL!

Clark & Uncle Eddie really like their eggnog (I think they had the spiked kind!)

And Godiva sells their eggnog truffles! Yum! I tried one the other day because I am a member of the Godiva Chocolate Rewards program and you get a free truffle a month!

And tonight I polished off a bowl of Braum’s eggnog ice cream….so good!

And let’s not forget the eggnog latte from Starbucks ya’ll! It’s my holiday fave!
What is your favorite holiday tasty treat or smell?
Peppermint, Gingerbread, Amaretto, Pine trees, Chocolate?
