Thank you my pretties!!!!

My mother in law got the pattern in for the lamb quilt so I quickly drew a diagram of where I wanted the fabrics….what do you think? The fabric choices are a couple posts down if you don’t remember. I don’t know where to use the rest of the fabrics, maybe some of you interior decorator bloggers will have some suggestions on fabric placement.

AND

Way to make a gal feel good about her hair color choice ya’ll! All your comments were so sweet and the majority said to leave it darker. Soooo…..my sister was reading through the comments and decided to go dye her hair last night! LOL! I WIN!!!! HAR HAR HAR!!!! We’ve had a debate on whether or not I should go back lighter or she should join the dark side with me….and I won!

  1. WOW, are you going to have one gorgeous nursery. Lucky little bambino! Fair warning…that beautiful fabric will get pooped on. My son managed to cover the bumper, sheet, comforter that was hanging on the back of the crib and the skirt in one fell swoop. ah ha

  2. You can add another fabric in by putting one in the back side of the pleats in the bedskirt…does that make sense? All of the bedskirt would be the blue squiggly multi-colored (with the yellow at the bottom) but then where the pleat goes in to the back you could have another one peaking thru.

You can also do 2-3 different fabrics on your bumper. On my little girl’s bumper, I did one fabric for the back of the bumper, then two different ones for the front (the same two on the left and right of each bumper, then a different one in the middle). I also did the piping on the top of the bumper out of the bedskirt fabric, so it tied it together.

Have I thoroughly confused you yet? 🙂 Here’s a link to one of my blog posts that kind of shows what I’m talking about on the bumpers!

If you want some pictures of the bedskirt I made, you can email me at tbmroberts at yahoo dot com and I’ll send you some!!

SORRY this is so long! 🙂

  3. I love what you have decided with the bedding! I can’t wait to see the finished product.

I find my self looking at bedding and think, “I would like this a whole lot more if this were a different color or if this were a different fabric”. Never though of making my own bedding… or in my case having someone to make it for me. I can not sew at all… I will have to keep this in mind for when we have a baby…
