BFF’s

I’m home! Well…not home home…but my home here in Texas. Home will always be Arkansas! While visiting I got to see my best friend since middle school Sara. She was in town from Alaska with her husband and little boy Ryan. I’m so glad I got to see you Sara and Ryan is just the cutest thing! He sang lots of songs for us and he knew all the words! We enjoyed a nice dinner together at one of our favorite places – Olive Garden. They don’t have one in Alaska! Gasp! I love you my friend and hopefully I’ll see you sooner than later this time…

On the road again…..

I’m headed to Arkansas this weekend for a spur of the moment trip! My best friend from Alaska is in town, obviously she doesn’t make it home much and I want to see her. I also want to see my Mom, Dad, and Nannie because I am homesick. I’m driving by myself so I plan on getting up early tomorrow morning and head home. Terence is helping his Dad build a fence this weekend, so it’s not like I have anything else to do!

On the job front – I got a call today that they are also interviewing another person who was interested in the job in Dallas….which is fine….I know that God will put me where He wants me to be ๐Ÿ™‚ In the mean time I am thankful I have a job I love even if I do have to drive a long way each day!

If it happens it happens, if it doesn’t then it doesn’t…either way I’m fine with it. The only reason I am moving is because of the drive, otherwise I would just pick everyone up and move them all with me because I love them so much! ๐Ÿ˜›

I got ANOTHER package in the mail today from my twinkie! She got me all sorts of things…



She got me a t-shirt and hat from the Titanic exhibit in Vegas, some owl key covers, owl & “B” post-it’s, an owl keychain, Yankee car smellies ( I love those!) & some cute owl note cards. She knows me well eh? Thank you so much sidder…I love you more than anything!!!
I also got a music b-day card from my Daddy with the song “Super Freak” in it….hmmmm…that’s appropriate I guess!

I think my interview went well today. Hopefully I will find something out soon! It was right next door to Sprinkles….so I brought Terence home some MOCHA cupcakes…Yum! I’m going to go watch “So You Think You Can Dance” now. It’s my favorite show of the summer! Everyone have a FAB Friday!

My sweet friend, Nicole sent me the nicest birthday gift today! My birthday is not until next Saturday. I opened the mail box and there was a package. I love getting mail! It has our initial and wedding date on it…I love it so much! I need to get one of those plate stands to put it on now! Thank you sweet friend I love you bunches!

Where to put it???

Terence took me shopping last night for a new suit to wear tomorrow. I am lucky and have a husband who likes to shop! LOL! We both need works clothes right now though.
I saw another bad accident on the freeway again…these past two weeks I’ve seen the worst wrecks I’ve EVER seen in my life driving to work and back. It just makes me think of how fragile life is and to drive the speed limit and wear my seat belt. Ya’ll be careful out there!

Stuff I Likey

This amazing artist named Ashley makes custom stationary. She has a website called Ashley Brooke Designs. She will do a custom proof of you for only $25 (one time fee) and then you can stick it on anything…post its, custom stationary, notecards, stickers. It’s too cute, as you can see I am holding Starbucks in mine! LOL! It’s summertime and one of my favorite things to eat is SALSA! Here is the recipe, it’s so easy you can’t NOT make it people!

I won these cute earrings from HOLLY, a fellow blogger, who is also a twinkie! She is so sweet! Thank you Holly, I love the earrings I think I will wear them tomorrow ๐Ÿ™‚


I have an interview in Dallas on Thursday so I can *hopefully* transfer closer to home! I hate interviews they make me so nervous, but God is in control and has opened so many doors…He wouldn’t lead me where he didn’t intend for me to be! Terence’s first day at his new job went well, he said he has a lot to learn, that’s a good thing because he loves to learn! I’m sure he’ll do great! We are so thankful for jobs and a home – GOD IS SO GOOD!

The Wedding and Rehearsal

Terence’s youngest sister, Rebecca, got married yesterday to Joel. Joel has 11 or 12 brothers and sisters!!! Can you believe that? The day was rainy, but the wedding was beautiful! They are off on their honeymoon to Tennessee right now! I didn’t take my big camera, so most of the pictures are with my phone…excuse the quality.

(I have to tell you about the night of the rehearsal dinner)

Terence drove to Fort Worth to meet me after I got off work for the rehearsal dinner. We then went to the rehearsal and the dinner and left there about 10:30-11-ish. His car was having trouble so we decided to leave it there in Fort Worth and just take my car. We drove over an hour to get back home and when we got here we realized we had forgotten the garage door opener in his car and the deadbolts were locked! We had to turn around and go ALL the way back to Fort Worth to get the garage door opener!!!! We finally ended up back at home a little after 1 a.m. only to get up and make the drive again the next morning. We picked up Terence’s car and dropped it off at the dealership yesterday and turns out he needs a new transmission, which is going to cost anywhere from $3,000-$3,500 dollars! ๐Ÿ™ booohoooo!!!! We owe less than that on his car and it makes me so mad! I guess when it rains it poors huh? Anyways-just keep us in your prayers…lots of life changes…lots of stuff going on….Terence starts his new job tomorrow….love you all bunches….Becky

I finally feel like we are getting settled and things are coming along! I just feel bad because I’ve fallen behind on my blog reading (which I love so much!)

I hope to catch up this weekend!
Tonight I made chicken spaghetti for dinner and brownies for dessert…so nice to have a kitchen of my own again. I love to bake (and Summer if you are willing) we will have a cake show and tell blog-a-thon pretty soon! Summer is the QUEEN of cakes!

I thought it would be nice to see everyone get their “bake” on!
